Well here goes U need to get a timing belt changed by 90k- which is going to set u back a min of Rs.15K using Original parts no compromising here OK BJ3 means 1300 cc may not be the best option as the weight to power ratio is not that great hence petrol consumption is not that good color & tyranny is your choice – Price – sounds good but since it’s a 1300cc mmmmm ????? Fully agree with you 'Supra_Natural' U claim to have driven a 323 But I cant seem to comprehend how the performance of a corolla & a 323 is similar in your opnion- unless u just basically drive the car - theres a BIG difference between driving casually and trashing the car- thats when the performance levels start to kick in and the 2 become evident. Agree with you on fuel – Maintenance is not expensive on Mazdas parts are actually cheaper than Toyotas eg mirrors Well resale value cant argue with u as I always say Sri Lankans (Most) only know 2 types cars Toyota & Nissan ( With respect to the 2 brands)

As at present I got a original woden Steering will with MMC logo if u need 1 Small request – pls don’t kill the original look as I’ve seen some been massacred whilst modifications have been done. Agree with SL vehicles covered with stickers – However I wonder if there would be a legal issue I’ve seen a van (Near Mahatooms – colo 2) which has a cool paint basically I’ve seen Purple, blue & green depending on the angle u look at it – So what color do u put in the book ?????? In other countries I know that there is a ban on using this kind of paint - here in Banana Republic Besides we got bigger problems in the motoring scene -

Ya Ur right- Auto Mazda are not bad at all- My friends has driven both a Mazda auto & a corolla and said the pulling and performance in the Mazda is far more greater …. Over all the car is excellent- true a Corolla will do better on fuel but on the same angle VVT Mazda may also keep up with the figures in fuel consumption. I always argue with the fuel topic – My 2 cents are basically a car will need fuel to run – right Reasonable fuel consumption is Ok say 10 -11 Km per L in traffic Asking for anything above- well just buy a Maruti & avoid big flashy cars As they say U can’t have the cake and eat the cake ( I prefer the singhala version to this )

Well look at it this way ----- What would happen to you if u stood out in the sun & rain day after day ??? Same with a car- over time it’s going to lose the color, maybe corrode etc… I fully understand your SITU Y not go for a car cover (Good quality one) and try to wax your car at least once a month with a good wax . Also do periodic checks to see if there is water gathering in areas such as spare tyre area, the 2 sides at the rear etc. Good luck

Hi Guys, I’ve been hunting for this item over the internet – they (e-bay) have the left hand dials but not the right hand. Basically can any 1 tell me who can get down glow dials or even if there is a local guy who can make them. ? Basically a white dial instead of the stock black ones- I’ve seen some kits her but not for a Mazda I’ve heard a certain parts guys has it but the cost is pretty high. This is for a Mazda 323 YOM 2000 Manual Transmission 220 Mph With rev counter Can send a pic of the meter board if needed Hay Would be wiling to exchange with some 1 for a fair amount

Sporty & Saving fuel do NO go hand in hand most times hence u need to make a call. Does the company pay for your fuel or do u have to pocket it ? What’s the general purpose of the car – daily travel or occasional drive on weekends ? Brand new would be difficult to get for 12Lks. Hence used cars would always have an issue somewhere down the line – that’s how life is

I really don’t understand Y people like to take risks with things like mounts, brake parts timing belts etc. As another member has put it – replacing with originals is ALWAYS THE 1st option. Replacing a door with a recon is fine. Can understand if you can’t find the part which is highly unlikely for a Carina. Y may save a few bucks but then look at all the trouble u ahve to go through to repalce the others and the time - is it worth it ?

Looks like you’ve been having some nice drives - Lucky you The foggy drive seems to be good but U better have some fogs – went to Ohoyia with some friends – took the wrong turn and ended up in worlds end – good thing we had fogs – just could not see more than 10ft ahead. Any idea of a canopy ?
