Amen to U my man….. Well being a ex Interplay user and now on my 3rd Mazda (323 – 2000 model – 1.6 ) And during the good old days of my interplay and we had this drad’s near Viharamahadevi park- I was never the racer dude but I remember my interplay creaming a Primera – it was quite fast for a 1.5 and pretty steady when taking bends too. I have high regards & respects for Honda – like u said when it come to performance parts Mazda’s have a limited options here in SL. Hay Guru hope to see U at the Mazda meet … Cheers

No question about the car been good – it’s truly a good car. Now comes reality – YES u would have to come to Colombo to get parts Parts would be issue as most don’t stock them and the agents – well one member has put it very finely In the unfortunate event – which I pray will not happen – finding body parts would be another feat itself unless u got very deep pockets and contacts in importing parts from UK/Germany Any particular fascination ? if ur going to use this for a daily run type car- better go back to the thinking room
-
Surprised it was lying about for 10 years in the first place- Well since it said RICH person- maybe it was just another car in his collection hence simply forgot about it….

Hay Guys, Well we all agree this is a fantastic idea.... PRAFRED - as u've indicated this would it be OK to call in our fellow partners well the FORD guys as both Mazda & Ford tend to go hand in hand these days with some models - If it's Ok with you that is? IF Ford guys have a club well than that’s a different case… Just thought of putting my 2 bits in – What U say guys

Honda Ek3 Vtec Lpgas Conversion Experiance
mazdaspeed replied to manusha's topic in General Automotive
Hi All, Please don’t misunderstand me – I’m not trying to offend any 1 here I’m a Mazda fan as it’s very evident – However I have deep respect for Honda’s . Please reconsider converting a Vtec to GAS as it’s a crime in my humble opinion… Yes u guys can tell me to Shove my 2 cents up my A## but I just had to voice out my opinion for the sake of the car… EK3 is a lovely machine and would hate to see her lose the spirit of a V tec – YES proper maintenance would keep the car in good condition but …..??? Once again I’m not trying to start a debate or fight… just pure love for a lovely machine -

any place but there -
Well if they used a piston type air compressor- then that could be an issue - as I too was instructed to replace mine with one of those but was lucky to get an original. Apparently what I was told by a guy who replaced it with a piston type was the pulling power dropped drastically. Since yours is a Auto ; that's double the effect. Mithri: u know anything about this piston type compressor ? As the AC dude said it’s easier to repair and has no issues like worn out razors (As was the case in mine) He was insisting that I put 1 of those but A star was looking down – got an original one off my mechanic for a good price too – I would hate to loose power - no matter how mcuh fule it consumes.

Wishing U all the best MADZ, Sorry they are Delated wishes.... Cheers Mazdaspeed

the door concept from the Mazda RX8 too and the rear lights too look a lot similar like the Evo X
-
By the was is this ford a 12 Sri 12## ? with a black spoiler at the rear and a sunroof ?
-
ohhhhhhhhhhh that looks.... sorry my vocabulary doesn't contain the words I need to express my self hope this gestures sums it up ..... 2012 - long time to wait... can't they put it out sooner....?
-
Many Happy returns for Y'day Hope u had a good bash Jaw the Z recently.... she's still looking hot...... Cheers

Got the MOMOCorse lights and it has a bid difference to the stock's which were basic Phillips. The light is much brighter. Although it said yellow I can hardly see a yellow - just a dull yellowish light Need to adjust the lights now as they are hitting at 2 different levels - so far this should be enough to see in the dark - I don't think it'll do any good to hit back at the headlight morons but that was not my first desire - have to work on that latter....

Like most members have said - wiser to change the belt rather than depending on some light. Cause it says 100,000lm or what ever the amount it does not count the time we spend in traffic - the engine is still running in traffic although we don't move. I changed mine at 90K - besides if it's a recon and U ar the 2nd owner with no records - can u be sure of the mileage ? in my case the car was looked after by my previous mechanic... with all records - hence I was sure. Just think about it - would a Jap put out a car after running just 20,000l=km to come down to SL recon ? maybe I'm wrong here but it just sounds crazy. When replacing the belts do the whole blooming thing- not just the belt but the razors and adjuster - try to get the original not the cheap stuff...... after all like mithri said the costs are not worth it. Mine cost about 15K with 2 adjuster, belt and 3 rubber washers/rings....all original

Yes U are right- with the amount of Mickey mouse guys selling stuff here U need to be. Well my friend was looking for a unit and we dropped in to this place M.cade- they didn’t have what he was looking for but we saw a unit which was for a Subaru- and said it was expensive compared to the rest and it fit's only a Subaru- Unfortunately not to knowledgeable on the subject. worth giving them a call or dropping in. I'm yet to own a car with turbo- hope 2008 brings some good luck
-
Not too sure on the cost bt Motorcade had some - including 1 for subaru Good luck
-
Hi... U referring to the gear issue... got that sorted out with my old place. Tune up is still on hold... just don't get a time to fix it- something more urgent always keeps coming up- since it does not directly effect the drive of the car I too am easy to sway off and attend to something else. Just put some sun visors (I think that's what they are called) on the 4 doors looks nice. Cheers

Agree with DON, the basic stuff such as grill and other minor items are more sportier- I was told that there is higher BHP value on the interplay - All interplays came in the 1.5L (As per my humble knowledge) I currently drive the BJ series 323. 1.6L - nice ride got a lot of electronics- U get better upgrade capabilities with the butterfly and the predecessor
-
HI Hope to see u soon in the MAZDA family, I’m on my 3rd Mazda but never owned your model in discussion. Over they are good reliable cars as loon as it’s been taken care of – just like everything else in life. Price is a tad bit on the high side but here in banana republic (Srilanka ) I’m not surprised If U get an interplay X model on the butterfly – go for it. It’s a whole lot more fun. Parts are plenty and there is a good guy specializing in Mazda as said by a member- . Check for records if possible- if it’s done over 100K make sure the timing belt has been replaced, and also check for corrosion under the wheel arches / spare tyre areas as that’s the trouble spots Good luck
