  2. Ya u can say that again..... the pot holes are a killer...... the worst situation is my office is on the RA de Mel Rd, and the buses create such a havoc with the horns and the odd sound which is like a beat barrel fixed.... All in all it looks nice, just wish the dudes ( 3 wheelers and slow guys )would keep off the middle lanes
  3. mmmm well most of the Colombo roads are rigged with pot holes... leave aside drifting- u can barely go 10 feet with out falling in to holes and I suppose the tire price is a killer too
  4. Hay good one man......... Good thing U did not cover/black out his number plate- I've come across lot's of moron's like this - I suppose common scene is not common any more..... Hay if any one knows this idiot..... tell him to sell the car-
  5. Thanks Pila. Ahh the 3M place near HSBC- there used to be a play ground earlier. Well I was told that there are several sensors and I should avoid getting it washed at ordinary places as water would damage them. What I’m looking is a proper ( Intensive) clean out of the interior and a exterior job which will protect the paint as there is hardly any kind of polish applied for a long time by the looks of it. Shall be checking them out
  6. Hi Plawoos Any idea how Clean Park is ? As I'm planning to take it there for a total interior and exterior clean up. The cost is around Rs 5000/- which is not too bad I suppose. Any Ideas of other recommended places - a place where I won't get my sensors blown out ? Thx
  7. Ya right on man...... MAZDA 323 & the M3 are good ones to Modify; I've seen some cool stuff done in the US. Pity no one Does it here..... I would like to do it but now kind of grown out of it...... (Mainly the cash situ as well ) Besides... the bloody (pardon my French) roads are loaded with pot holes when you could even bathe a dinosaur forget Elephants..... Not to mention the F&*% 3 wheeler guys butting in even with 2 inches of space------ and then there goes the buffer (Sorry folks but I just can't stand the As* Ho##les Well as they say.... padurakata galak gahuwoth ...... Honda or Lancer...... Just kidding guys.... both of them are lovely machines Let's see some young Mazda dudes out there..... Y not post some pics if any one has done up a 323/interplay etc... Cheers
  8. Hi, It's all to do with the AA but unfortunatly I'm not sure on the duration of the whole process. Good luck
  9. Hi Ya it’s pretty simple. Go to the AA ( near Holiday Inn) and they will give you a form to fill in. I recall it been Rs.25/- and the whole process would come up to around Rs.6000/- this would change on the number of countries and type of vehicle. Cheers

    Rebadging

Ya This has been an issue for some time- I believe brand’s play a iatrical part as well as some brands are perceived to be higher. It the same with VW & Skoda in Europe .Mazda & Ford do share a lot in common in terms of parts- the new ones have identical parts (engine). In UK, Hundai ran a good AD Champaign where they talk about a car first and then the badge – or something in that nature. I take my Mazda to DPMC as I can’t stand Carmart.

    Mazda - Image

Ya have to agree with you on this- I personally believe the downfall of Mazda in SL is mainly due to the Agents- It would be nice to see a different agent take over. This is not to promote any other agent .... truly sorry If I did something illegal but I'm just a die hard MAZDA fan
  13. Hi Guys, I just came across a site where you can download the Mazda 2002 model user and parts manual if any one is interested. The files are very large so if U’r on a dial up – don’t even bother with it. I’m downloading them tonight so shall let u know what the situation is. The Mazda is called protégé in US, Most of the stuff are the same but you get the 2.0L & 1.8 L versions there- They haven’t heard of the 1.5L ( As per one user forum I was in ) http://www.floptical.net/mazda/ Cheers,
  14. mmmmm the rear looks lot like the Mazda 3.......
  15. Hi Guys, Thanks a Mill for the info. Will be calling them Cheers
  16. Hi Guys, Can you guys help me out here. Any 1 got the contct numbers/ address of : Auto Force and this guys who does stickers called Sumith. Would really appriciate it. Many thanks
  17. Ahhhh sorry forgot to mention- it was used car that I bought- A Mazda 323 1.6CC manual and currently it does around 6.3 per Liter. I'm not trying to save on fuel but it seems quite low for 1.6CC as my earlier Mazda Interplay did around 9.0 per liter with a beat barrel. Anyway Thanks guys for all the info and recommendations.
  18. Hay Guys Thanks a lot for the feedback and the dude who asked the question as I was going to take my newly bought Mazda for a tune up- They said it would be around rs. 3500/- but looking at the feedback - NO Way Am I going there.... Any good place for a tune up which won't burn a hole in the wallet as I’ve already got a BIG hole after buying the car. ? Cheers
