    DO this, when you a re driving with your father, just suddenly look shocked and say.. "Thaa... I mean "DADDA" in your case, I think you hit something.... :)" Then get out of the car and look around and say AH HA... .. and point out to the scratch and say.. "Thaa... I mean. DADDA, I think you hit a rock or something" Or next time he parks it over night, place a flower pot next to the car so when he moves the car..... you know what I am getting at. Matter sorted. I am sure driving a Hybrid means he has extra cash saved up on gas to fix this small issue.

    Interior cleaning my car regularly is also part of the Datto mod workload. You can say it has snowballed... LOL! One thing for sure, by the time it is done, Komi and I will be having health problems.... BP, diabetes and heart issues...

    Buy a Bicycle.... best fuel efficiency and least amount of repairs. Can ride 70kms per day. Bling factor is infinite. You can plate it with gold if you like. You can get a good resale value also. If I were you and had 4M to burn, I would do that. Just sayin', now don't be hatin'...

    I think what we need in this country are higher inspection standards and tougher and stringent checks on all vehicles. Yesterday the E01 was a nightmare, at dusk there were buses and cars and battas plying hem with no tail lights, alignment off the charts and one head light situations. if places like CarChecks ramp up the checking and inspecting and ties up with government bodies, that will take out most of the unsafe vehicles off the roads and make roads that much safer.

    You cant exactly predict the behavior of metals during extremely high speed crashes. The railings are designed to deflect the vehicle away from the edge. Depending on the angle it hits, one cannot determine how and where the metal will go.

    LOL... I was kidding machang... with your requirements, a 2L Turbocharged AWD station wagon will give you hemorrhoids... Subarus, let alone Foresters are not within the requirement bracket you have mentioned. It fails in all departments but the kick ass one. Parts are fairly dear, fuel consumption is high and your average thel hinganna will run a mile when they hear the consumption figures. You should stick to Toyotas and Mazdas.

    It is illegal to run without fully operational head lights. PERIOD! That's why you should check on their status regularly and for safety sake carry a spare or two in the glove box. Older cars replacement of bulbs is a 2 minute job. I normally carry a few especially when going outstation. It is illegal to dazzle oncoming motorists with your fancy Chinese trashy HIDs with no focusing lenses. It is illegal to turn left while indicating to the right. It is illegal to unnecessarily flash your head beams at oncoming drivers. So many things are illegal if you actually follow the rules. But them who does? How many of the new crop of drivers know that you should give way to vehicles from the right or not to stop on a junction box? How many know what a junction box is?     I once got stopped because one of the headlights has stopped working, I stepped out and asked whats going on, they said light is not working, and I thumped on the light and it worked. Loose connection obviously. So I asked what now? They said, "wada nodee yanna mahaththaya"... LOL But actually they can fine you for non working lights mate. No argument exists to escape that

    I travel to WTC often and finding a parking spot, paying the high fee and all that is too much trouble.... get on a bus, listen to some FM radio chatter, enjoy the sights and go to your meeting and get back... LOL. When I go for client meetings in Kandy and all, I catch the Expo Rail, travel in car like comfort, get served limitless tea and coffee, see to your work, and get back at a decent time without the hassle of the Kandy Road traffic. All for less money than the petrol cost of the actual journey.

    I have now come to the conclusion that using public transport to carry out your daily essentials is stress-free, cost effective and keeps you away from interacting the lowest form of life forms there is in SL, the Police Department.

    Did you completely overhauled the gearbox when you said some seals were replaced? Why don't you replace the ATF and filter and see, cheap option.

    Nope, this has the 1.8 T Spark engine. More or less 100% original.... AC was pulled out refurbished with Jap parts.. for reliability.
