  1. thanks.. sent u a PM. I will pay a visit.
  2. ah.. That is my father. Then that must be the car. in 1990.. I was 10 lol. So it was with you for 21 years.. wow. Thats great. Any pics of it? My father would love to see it. Damn.. I recall all good memories with that car now. Still miss all the euros we had.. Don't remember the exact model but will be able to get from father.. Fiat, Buk Fiat .. VW and Ford .. they could've make a good collection today. Hopefully i'll be able to get my hands on a BMW 3 series soon.
  3. What I remember is 10 Sri 9006/6009 or something like that. Has this car being owned by late singer Mr.Narada Dissasekara. I think my father bought it from him. It was light apple green when we sell it.
  4. ha ha
  5. Options??? Does the options refers 4 disk breaks, climate control A/C and stuff? If so in given context, car will not loose any of those options. However i've heard the fuel:air map of ViRS is more biased towards performance compare to normal Vi. So fuel map will be affected. But the functionality econo/sports switch can be achieved through your gear changing pattern? i.e maintain high RPM all the time or just change gears around 2200 - 25000 and maintain average around 2000. I guess if given the options, still better-off going for Vi ECU + gear box, instead of EG series ECU. If there are other performance related options in ViRS you will loose them in both early EK series and EG series ECUs anyway.

    Car Dies

Assume you are reffering to ECU. If so there are lots of basics to do before ECU change. As Mani said, simple TB clean up and use of fuel system cleaner like 3M/Wurth would be first things to do in my opinion.
  7. Ok got it. But still if you go for manual gear box (EK3 Vi) + ECU(OBD2A), it will be equal to 96-98(95-97) EK3-Vi. Only difference is that you got ViRS body. So you almost get 95% of what you have in ViRS. And you get benifits of 3 stage VTEC.
  8. You say running condition.. but you'll be able to find some neglected cars, just around 50K - 100K. And if you spend balance amount on repaires you will be able to have a good solid car after some effort. However this will be a pain in the A%# if you don't have a proper garage/contacts or time to spend in shops.
  9. Instead of EG ECU, can't someone go for 96-98 EK3 ECU. So they wont miss the Economy part of the 3 stage VTEC. The 12 valve mode is really good feture. It will give significant (2/3Kmpl on average) fuel saving without compromizing on performance. Else as stated earlier for someone with screwed up Multimatic transmission, an after market ECU and a manual gear box would be a better option.
  10. Does Auto and Manual ECUs completely different to each other or is it mapping that makes the difference? Can't we remap the ECU?
  11. I suggest you to go for Manual-Vi instead of Auto-ViRS. Also note it's not only the ViRS came with Multimatic gear box, all VTEC(or Vi/Vti) EK3 came with the same gear box.
  12. Yes this is the car. Is this a diesel conversion? Seems to be in good cosmetic condition.

    Drag Racers Beware

    Exciting topic after long period.
  14. Noted. The few FB15 i've been used to get very rough treatment that the 110s I knew. It makes me think that I has more ground clearence. My bad.
  15. I'm seeing black colour MK1 or MK2 daily running in Kandy - Matale road towards the matale. It got the two light just like the Harshan's one. And with very nice cosmetic condtion. Nice eye catcher. Does anyone knows the owner and little bit about the car.
  16. I've been travelled in all 3. For me most comfortable was FB-15. Swift-Jeep model is not very comfortable car. FB15 got very good ground clearence. If you think of a car that suits worst road condtions that car can go, that would be FB-15. And I think FB15 is the easiest car to maintain in long run. Ae110 is good car too. But in compariso spares / ground clearence / road conditions / comfort / maintanence FB15 is above better buy than AE110.
  17. happy birth day
  18. AFAIK the procedure to obtain a duplicate is going through formal police report. So it will be fully legal document when it comes to legal issues. Only thing I also can is the administrative issue with this one day transfer. As far as finance institutions concern its their own problem. If they don't want our business let it be. You can always can find alternate options. Also I dont think duplicate will be issued on someones name other than the last legal owners name (correct me if i'm wrong.
  19. True nothing comes free. We already paid the price for broken pumps at petrol sheds through the taxes they charge us.
  20. You have option not to drink Arrack and get your self ruined. No point blaming Harry for arrack, stop drinking if you are already a drinker.
  21. Personally I agree with the policy and it should happen in paper ads or any other form of vehicle advertising. However if number is available its easy to go through the insuarence guys and find out about the accident history if they have the right contacts. If that happen i think that is also good. Buyers know exactly what they buy and can get it for right price.
  22. Looking at the comments I think best option is to get couple of litres and check for colour and any doposits/meterials.
  23. These comments makes me more nervous. After verifying with workers I pumped 40ltrs. My bad I didn't check a sample. How can I get get sample from the bottom of my fuel tank now. A fried's bike got affected when he collecte all fuel to bottles he noticed some brow colour power deposits in bottom. It is about 1/3 of total volume. If I can get some petrol from bottom of my tank the it will be fine I guess.
  24. I pumped petrol 2nd saturday. And two days i've travelled about 25Km so far. Didn't noticed any change. Its Kandy Tyre house station, in Kandy. How can i get some petrol out of my fuel tank in ek3. I can't put a hose inside because there is a filter or some thing that prevent it goes fully inside.
