oh is the auris the same as the corolla?? well i checked the toyota website and there is a 2.2 Diesel unit but when u go to build ur spec the 2.2 is not available the only available one is a 2.0D. But i think the civic offers better value like u get more gadgets compared to the toyota.

Oh yes.. Well for a country of our size we certainly do have a large number of high end exotic cars. Yes i have read that the diesel is quite good. Some say its a better buy than the 1.8 petrol model cos it gives better torque at lower revs. Ok its certainly not for someone looking for performance.

Bloody Helll... Ten Million?? for a car that size.. well the standard civic of this type seems to come with a decent turbo diesel unit which has the same horsepower as the 1.8 petrol unit. I just love the interior of this model. the one with the sat nav screeen is quite nice

I just cant understand why we have to pay for these idots to go in luxury vehicles using the peoples money. Why cant we just put them on a train... give them a train pass and a bus pass as well. the amount our government spends on the ministers is just a crime using the peoples money.

HEy madmax the W202 is a really great model. The C250 would be the best model to go for. I had one of those the C220 Diesel which was quite good but most of the C220's do have a common problem with the diesel injector pump. The pump goes faulty and it can be Very Expensive to replace it (we were quoted something like Rs.150,000 some years ago). The automatic isnt half bad either. I think the petrol ones go for around 2.5 mil now we sold ours about 3 years back for 2.3mil. There are some good C250's around with leather interior and sunroof and all that the C250 is better since that is the turbo diesel version. Maintenance is pretty much ok. Parts do last quite a long time and you get quite good MPG. Servicing prices about 4 years ago were about Rs.10,000 for a oil change service and about Rs.20,000 for a full service at D*MO.

aaah yes devinda i remember now the Baracuda. there are only two in sri lanka and the other one is with Mr. Ranjith Paige. Yes i remember the cadilac it had cost someting liek $50K to restore in america. some people say that he sent the car and got anotherone down instead one which was in mint condition...

I agree with GTAm Riley's cars are all in a very very sad condition. the ones in peradeniya by the side of the road are a disgrace really. They have a lot of cars yes but they are just not being looked after well or restored. Hey miniace Nigel Austin's cars. as far as i know he only has a few cars neda? healey 3000 , some american convertable car Should someone mention Mr. Clive de silva's cars. He has a gorgeous Jaguar SS100 the only one in SL and quite a few Triumph TR's and a lot more

aaah.... well the cars i know of are all before the english numbers. well i havent really been in sl for some time now so i havent seen all these new ones. It is very interesting this... I would really like to find out if we can import old cars.. if so it would be great

hey, well as far as i know all these classic cars were brought in some time ago before the 5 year or 10 permit was in force. I think those days you could bring in a vehicle which you had used abroad regardless of its age i think.

Hey, I know this spitfire. It was owned by a sri lankan in the U.K. He had bought it brand new and brought in to sl around 94 - 95 it was for sale about 5 years ago for a million. Its in really good condition cos it was a firtst owner car. now its owned by a friend of the first owner somewhere in kotte. I am a member of the classic car club and as far as i know the classic car club has not done someting like that to bring old cars. it only when sl people who have lived in the uk or somewhere have brought them down under a permit.

Hey, well i work for a company in mid wales. We manufacture mainly launch and recovery vehicles for the RNLI for lifeboats. They are semi submursible tracked and wheeled machines. quite big pieces of kit. how long have u been at RR. Man i would love to go into F1 but it is a faaaaaar away drea although i wouldnt mind automotive but there isnt much of that in the uk now since lots of people are closing and moving away.

I I would love to be back in Sri Lanka but the only thing is right now there arent a lot of places that do engineering are there. Well sri lankan airline , micro cars thats about all i know of.

hi, i notied that the engine is a turbo diesel. have you by any chace checked if the turbo is kicking in when it should? cos i had some trouble a while back when there was a lot of black smoke and it turned out that the rurbo was not kicking in. my problem was that the linkages to the rurbo were stuck and once that was fixed it did improve the smoke and the pulling.
