  1. Correct me if i'm wrong, I believe Harrier hybrid is same as RX450h? If that's correct i don't think its going to meet his requirements right? Bcos he needs a real SUV. In RX450h its AWD so it only has regular Traction and Stability control with added Hybrid snow mode. You won't be able to select controls like 2WD, 4H, 4L, etc.. for off road needs that you will get in real SUVs with 4WD.. Pls correct me if i'm wrong..
  2. I totally agree. I also used Altec Lansing and was very happy with it. But when i searched for them around 2007-2008 for a friend of mine not a single shop in Unity plaza had Altec Lansing MX 5021 2.1.. Even for TV this is very good for a small room (like bed room).
  3. Thanks machan. Another technique i have heard is to focus on something else on the path and once the vehicle or the object that you need to shoot pass that spot release the shutter. But so far it didn't work for me or i need more practice Also when using auto focus points didn't work for me either.. So far what have tried is try to keep the focus with the vehicle while its moving and then shoot.. Once i was at a bike show some what like you see in 'Nalanda Motorshow 2014' and there were many professional photographers but they are not that friendly and they won't tell you or help. So it was all trial and error. Wish Peri was thr..
  4. Recently i bought WD Elements 3TB for US$ 88 (free shipping). If you do not want to carry it often Element / Mybooks are good options. They have USB 3.0 so great for playing movies. On a side note, Most of the time when i plan to buy something i keep on looking deal sites. They will give good deals from Ebay, Amazon, etc..
  5. In US a PS4 500gig is normally around $400 (Eg - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-4-500gb-black-friday-bundle-black/8637183.p?id=1219365658942&skuId=8637183). I'm not sure whether this helps or not, As of I know in many leading IT companies in SL people come to US for short term. If you know any friend you could ask them to bring. Since we are talking about gaming consoles let a ask a small question about TV's. Have anyone bring down TVs from US? Do you face any issues as US use NTSC? Also one of my friend told me that you have to pay tax if you bring more than 32inch TV. Anyone has any idea about this? On another point i don't think voltage is not a big issue as voltage convertets are not that expensive.

    Shelter For My Car

I don't think this is a safer thing to do. If it catches wind your car might end up with damages. This is my experience starting to build garage on a budget - A cheaper yet safe option is to build a garage with GI Pipes fixed to a concrete floor, metal frames for roof support and steel coloured roofing sheets. But when it rains it makes lot of noise and still the car get wet from sides. As of I can remember it cost about Rs 40K in 2002, better to get a quote from a metal work person as the prices would be high now. But i'm pretty sure finally you would build a permanent garage because other options doesn't last long. Also don't try the option of buying car covers. As per my experience it is waste of money. It not only gives scratches to the paint also when you keep the car in rain the moist go inside the cover.
  7. Im thinking of going for Blackberry Z10 from iPhone 5, anyone here uses a Z10 or have used one? Wouldn't it be safer to limit the options to common models like iPhone 6 / plus, Galaxy note 4 or s5, HTC M8, etc..? I think blackberry is loosing the market. But if you ask me I'd prefer the Note 4 over 6 plus. Sorry i couldn't answer your question but just thought of giving my opinion about buying a blackberry since I haven't seen many using them.. But let's see if anyone using Z10 would reply and if they are satisfied with it.
  8. Ha ha.. the same advice you gave me with my photos. That was the point i started to think about the saturation level. Thanks always for your advice Peri. BTW, what is your view about the fast moving shots? Please don't take me wrong. All i wanted to know is 1. Is it good to have that kind of motion blur? or 2. Is it bcos of a limitation of the focusing capability of the lens? ** I'm only asking this question for education purpose and not to tell anything bad about their professional photography. Please don't take it wrong..
  9. To my expectation 1.3L engines are sufficient for 5 adults + luggage. But would it be a comfortable trip having 5 people in it? And if its not a 1 day trip would the boot have enough space to carry stuff for 5 adults? To my experience even a normal sedan's boot is filled with bags when we go on trips with 4 people. To my taste 4 people is the max for a long trip in a car. Hope you understand the middle seat is not that comfortable to sit for a long drive right? And the person sitting the middle can't even stretch their legs..
  10. This it what i use. Can't tell much about the reliability since i only tested once for car. Mostly used for inflating toys and sporting items.. I'm also using other equipment / tools from this brand and i'm very satisfied. I got this one for $19.99. I found a deal one day and it was sold at $19.99. you have to be alert for deals and you will get items for good price. Craftsman 12V Portable Inflator w/ Digital Tire Pressure Gauge - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Craftsman-12V-Portable-Inflator-w-Digital-Tire-Pressure-Gauge-Car-Pump-Portable-/181585633957?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4758e2a5 Same as many Portable Inflators for cars out there in the market this is very easy to use. Easiest way is set the tire pressure you want and switch on. It will automatically cut-off when it reached the correct value. This also comes with many accessories to pump air for other stuff like Toys, etc..
  11. Petrol engine starting like Diesel engine on a cold day.. (listen to the engine sound) (Updated the video) - Outside temp -16'F (-26.6'C) and engine Temp 1'F (-17.2'C) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOT_EZGmUPo
  12. A minor point apart from the technical aspect of minimum octane level for the engine. I can remember sometime back we had a huge problem with poor quality petrol. I was pumping Oct95 and did not had any issue but some of my friends who pumped regular petrol was affected with the poor quality petrol. You guys still remember that?? BTW, minimum octane level is mentioned in the owners manual. And some cars it will show minimum octane level in your fuel cap. Also to note that this is not limited for cars, it applies to any engine that run on fuel (generators, compressor, etc...). Correct me if i'm wrong..
  13. Not sure anyone would be able answer about the price.. I think i have one of the worst case scenario.. Bought 1 car and few weeks later price reduced (due to tax reduce) then ordered another one and by the time it arrived to Colombo price increased (again the tax was increased).. Updated - But there might be a chance since "some" are about to get new car permits. Sorry can't tell details about it..

    Hid Lights

Yes yes.. What i meant to say is in your H4 HID Kit both input and output will have H4 holders right? So you will have to change the input holder and 2 output holders right? (Sorry i can't remember exactly it been couple of years since i change to HID). BTW I saw wire kits in ebay but not sure about the quality and safety. Since you are playing with high voltage you should think about the quality right?

    Hid Lights

H4 has both high and low beam and H3 has only 1 right? If i was in your situation i would try to exchange the H4 kit with a H3 kit without trying to buy bulb replacement kit.
  16. So far i have tried few types of holders and none worked for me. The one with suction cup was the top of all what i have tried but after 1 or 2 months the suction power was lost. Second best was the one attached to cup holders. but it did not fit properly even with lot of force and when you try to take the phone with out pressing the release button even if the phone is not too tight the whole thing comes out. The ones which fits to vents are so weak and make scratches. So ended up just keeping the phone in cup holder. But there might be good phone holder products out there but i could not find them which fits my budget. I don't want to spend a huge amount to a phone holder. Also i feel it doesn't look good too in my op. This is just my thought. Also note that these experience is on using smartphones (Little bigger ones like Galaxy). But wait and see if any one has a good experience and know of any good product.
  17. Ya that's true from their point of view. But honestly i was trying to send me and my wife's old phones to my parents and to in-law's.. I guess in that case if i remove the boxes and try to send also they might suspect its for sale i guess..
  18. I've been trying to send 5 "used" phones with boxes from USA with a friend of mine who came with business visa, so far as per him there will be problems with customs.. Anyone has any idea? Since these are used phones its not worth to pay right?
  19. I'm not sure if Samsung has much of a difference when you are using for years. I've used "Galaxy S2 Skyrocket" and "S3 Mini". But the battery was not good as it was brand new down the line. I think battery is much wasted when using the phone over cellular data or even worse as a hot spot. Anyways as per my understanding Samsung, Sony is top of the line when it comes to battery life in benchmark testing. But since i'm a little bias to Samsung i would choose between S5 & Note 4. They also have the ultra battery saving mode when you need right? So it might come in handy when you are on low battery. Even the iphone 6 plus is no where near the battery life of Galaxy S5 or Note 4. Even Sony is a good choice right? When it comes to battery life check Sony Xperia Z3 in below benchmark test results. Go to this link and check Battery life test resuls - http://www.phonearena.com/phones/benchmarks
  20. Looks like its going to be available soon and configs also looking good.. Price difference between 32GB and 64GB is quite small right? I guess many would go for the 64GB one.. Nexus 6 vs Iphone 6 Plus - http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6604&idPhone2=6665 Updated - Also it might be good to check Black Friday deals in US which is close by (Nov 28).
  21. Or may be they will give me a big discount on next purchase.. Anyways, $56K was including (Tax + Dealer charges + Title + etc..) And it already had the lifted suspension, premium audio, etc.. and other convenient packages (including clear bra and tint all around) - you know all those stuff that dealership adds to increase the price here.. Since it was the sale event in the dealership the price was good comparatively.. May be we have a bad taste we thought Tundra lifted suspension version look better..
  22. Do you think the Hummers coming to SL is RHD or LHD to RHD converted? I drove one at Virtusa which was brought for a party and the dashboard was fully RHD ready could not see any difference. If it was converted it was a perfect conversion. But sorry to take the topic off F-150, I'm just curious to know and that's why i brought up this one..
  23. After 1 month of wait time got the phones.. Initial thought was its a little to big for a phone but hope i will get used to it. Didn't see a huge improvement with performance but its too early to comment on that as i just got them. Sometime later will try how the camera performs and will put some pics in Digital Photography forum.
  24. 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT HellcatSupercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 707 horsepower right out of the showroom could send an idiot driver straight to heaven.
