@ Schiffer, Do not try to be a smart ass! Two TV cards is not a must, who told you to buy windows media center? media center is already installed to Win7/Vista/ or even XP media center edition, can easily get it downloaded! Win Media center (in win 7) may be out dated for you but not for the most. I could guarantee it as I am using it ( win 7 mc). I agree that power consumption, bigger lcd/led have a point! I just gave my idea OP may or may not accept it If you do not know what MCE is just google up or in the wiki http://en.wikipedia....ws_Media_Center

If you are familiar with computers, why don't you try to use "windows media center" with compatible TV card (s). It will provide you with live TV pausing, you can simultaneously watch one channel and record another one if you have two tv cards, if you connect Internet to the PC you can watch on-line TV as well You can order original windows media center TV remote and the sensor via Microsoft or cheaper one via e bay. Buy a wide screen LED/LCD (may be used one even), buy a 7.1/5.1 sound system, get the remote/sensor and the most importantly buy good quality compatible TV card

Vehicle Transferring And Registration Procedure
nano31 replied to zareekz's topic in General Automotive
@ CARBON B4, In my case the original owner is far away and I got the vehicle as "open papers" so finding him and getting a letter is time consuming and I do not wanna waste my time for these kind of stupid things.- 96 replies

Vehicle Transferring And Registration Procedure
nano31 replied to zareekz's topic in General Automotive
Yeah, it is true that the "NEED to have a No OBJECTION letter regardless of the signed papers" since 10th Dec 2012. But it just today morning I handed over my open papers without any letter to an "agent" with extra Rs 2500/=. and all happen without any problems!- 96 replies

@ chan5, thanks for the informative reply. Is there any formula for friction which include surface area? As far as I know static and kinetic friction only differs because of "U" (coefficient of friction) not the surface area. The wider tire in off road use is probably because they are not sinking in mud. And the tire surface is NOT moving relative to road surface in a given point unless the tire is slipping. Just see following link http://ffden-2.phys.uaf.edu/211_fall2002.web.dir/ben_townsend/staticandkineticfriction.htm

I have simple question, according to basic physics the force (F) of friction is equal to U (coefficient of friction ) multiply by weight of the object ® in horizontal plane, ie: F=UR It doesnt contain anything regarding surface area. "U" depends on the surface (Road and Tire) and "R" depends on the weight of the vehicle. So how a wider tire tire affect the friction apart from the additional weight?

I was about to buy a used door visor set for my corolla 110 for Rs3500 all four only problem is to find a inner clips which retain them in addition to adhesive tape! Are those clips available? They are not visible from outside, just a hook like metal clip fixing between inner edge of the visor and door edge

I searched AL and forums in few European countries and gotta know that pirelli's side wall is notorious but almost all local tire dealers are saying it is a good tire. I got another offer for maxxis Thailand Rs 11000/= per tire, the same tire have been using

I have seen a sellers who imports plastic bits like inner door opener from Thailand at BMICH motor show recently. Their main store/shop is at Panchikawattha. Actually I was looking for the inner door opener for my 110, unfortunately they did not have the beige colour but according to them it is available at Panchikawattha. The price was Rs 550/= per one (for 110), they are looking very good and the same as Japanese one. It might not be difficult to find such places if you visit Panchikawattha or else ask someone who travel Thailand to bring down for you

I think it is normal in AE110, you can not get 12km/l in everywhere right? Hope you believe my CE110 (Diesel) does 7.5-8.5km/l in extreme condition but it goes 18.5km/l in calm long running and mixed condition it does 10-12km/l

I got a offer for pirelli tyres 185/65/14 Rs 12750/= per tyre It is made in Turkey. Any Idea about the shelf life of tires in general. Is it worth? Is it good tire in a point of safety & mileage My car is CE110

@ abiman, what is the brand of the mounts? Anyway I have used RBI Thai products (http://www.rbi.co.th/) for lower arm bushes, Upper Shock mounts 1 year ago but still have no problems.

@ mazdaspeed, What had gone wrong inside of the autobox? Is it just those rubber o rings or something else? In my 1998 CE110 it is just o rings but he replace all the plates and few valves as well. I am pretty sure that his warranty is a real warranty, talking on experiences, I had a autobox issue after 2 months from the repairing which is actually totally not related to the repair. It was the modulator of the box(It is attached outside of the gearbox) and car was not going beyond the 2nd gear however much I accelerate the engine! But he replaced it totally free. Following is the damaged modulator due to a broken bolt inside the modulator [/img]

I too have referred few friends to him regarding auto box issues, no complains at all so far. chan5, thank you very much and giving the feed back after the repair; only few ppl do that.
-
Not promoting but Chandana at Ambuldeniya know what he is doing for Japan Auto Boxes! In our case all the "plates", o rings, valves were replaced (the problem is with the o rings) in just few hours and it took only 10hours and the box still going strong

@ Supra_Natural /NZer, Thanks for positive input. Most of the popular windscreen shops will have more or less similar looking beading (Rs4000/=) but it is different from the original one. -
Car Front Door Glass Beading/sealer - Where Can Find Used/new ?
nano31 replied to nish1's topic in General Automotive
@Supra_Natural, By the wayI checked the price in those japan sites, ebay and what I feel is the price almost the same or higher!! Ex: front window rubber Toyota Lanka price ~Rs 13000 while price in a japan site is almost Rs 20000; used door visor SL price 4000, JP used price 8000!!!!! Is it just due to low value of our rupee? -

Dude, it aint about you ok! Just read the topic of some threads then read middle or end of the thread, you will understand what I mean And I do not like to point out any members as it again lead to unnecessary posting here. AL is a very good forum but I wish it would only contain all about the vehicle not the joking/harassing I wish Admin/mods should keep those rules/regulations strict and immediately remove unwanted posting and it would be really nice senior members just do not go behind a word and make it a joke. Even this posting is useless and just ruin the thread and most importantly it does not have anything about the door beading!!! But AL is still nice place to stay!!!!!
