hi guys,im planing to buy a nissan vanette VX(2008)which is comes with common rail diesel engine..but my friend saying that this type of engines are not good,it should use only super diesel,vehicle market is low,there are some promblems with injectors&sensors,which is very cost,so older engine is better than this, but vehicle owner saying that this type of engines are very good on fuel,& we can remove the DPF(sorry i cant remember the correct word,its something like DPF) problem,its cost only about 20000/= so guys i cant get a decision whether i should buy this van or not, i dont have a very good knowledge on diesel vehicles, this is gonna be my first diesel vehicle,pls guys give me your ideas & experiences on this engine

simply you can look at the engine for timing cover If the cover is plastic it has a belt If the cover is metal it has a chain

i think that there's no T belt on allion240.i had corolla 121G with VVT-i 1500cc engine(as same as allion)my mechanical said that theres noT belt for ths model,itz run by a chain,but you should check the alternator belt for any cracks, which is cost nearly 6000/= (the original belt)

5 months ago i did a engine flush to my suzuki every(2003)which have done 115000km.i used BG-105 (1980/=)engine oil fush & BG-107 (1680/=)Oil additive.after that i feel like that now engine is runing smooth,feels like that engine power is also increased a bit.&fuel consumption also have increased.now i have done more than 7000km"s after that.bt i didnt got any issue.(im using mobil oil&im changing oil in every 4000km) last month i did it to my car(corolla 121/93000km done).im satisfied with it.

if i was you. definitely ill choose the toyota passo.

main thing is poor interior quality my car did only 13km per liter(outstation) slow pickup(compared to 121) No Boot Light(i dont know about other axio X grades) &some other small things
