Wow i have the same question Last time I got Caltex 80w-90 MTF oil, sometime back. So later I saw on some Honda specific sites, that Honda 92-00 SOHC gearboxes should use 10w-30 engine oil and not MTF oils, like they are designed to use engine oil. And that normal MTF oil is too heavy for these gearboxes. Is this true? Would I have to change mine??

I also end up using 3.5Lt and not a daily driven car, so the last time I changed oil was 5-7 months ago, had to fill about 150ml about a month ago. I bought some oil yesterday, will change tomorrow. And this time I'll keep the leftover 500ml and when I change next time, I would get three 1Lt cans and use the 500ml I already have

But again majority thinks them as the benchmark for cars, coz all they care about is fuel + reliability (== Toyota ), nothing else, though nowadays any other car is reliable and maybe would do better fuel than these Boats and Corollas. In a way, can't blame them, SL market is flooded with these vehicles and these myths coz of the demand. Ya, Allion is a boat lol, I would rather buy a Mark or Altezza, if it has to be a Toyota. Am planing to get a full insurance cover for a vehicle, which I have been using with 3rd party insurance for sometime now. The car was valued at 8 lakhs, so I got a quote from an Insurance agent (SLIC), it is estimated 25k with all covers like accident, theft, flood ...etc. The agent suggested if we remove the flood cover, it would be around 22k. And I have some no claim discounts. So anyway, is it this the normal amount for a full insurance cover for a similar car??
