  6. What could be the reason for mold formation though? Is it just bad luck? I've never had that issue with any cars I owned
  7. Wouldn't be the first time you said the exact same thing *dejavu intensifies*
  8. "GM douchebag has inserted the final sandpaper dildo into Holden. Kinda like the way you kill a vampire, only with a uniquely Detroit twist" -John Cadogan, 2020 ?

Oh c'mon.....equally bad or even worst cars have been fixed up over here....in SL there is no such think called a total loss...the service is unavailable because it never existed. Even if a car blows up the book might actually live on ...

@iRage that's what I meant too, I mean importing a new belta as two halves and welding it back together would be more economical than repairing this one isn't it?

That is, if the car didn't have a comprehensive insurance cover

Since it is a Belta it probably would be as these things are cheap in Japan and Thailand and plenty around. But in more expensive cars I have seen them actually pull out the frame and then just replace the body parts. In SL not many people fix body panels anymore...cheaper to buy used ones and also they do not have the skill to do it anymore (even if the material the panel is made out of is possible to be fixed).

  10. Hey, where have you been? You promised us a dedicated RST thread once she arrives!

  16. My most recent experience with a buttery smooth shifter was in a 2011 L200 ? IDK if every L200 feels like that, thing had run 240k+ kms, but the gearbox was super smooth - made me feel like Toshiya Joshima ?
  17. Your "elaboration" sounded like "because 2+2=4, Neel Armstrong was the first human on moon" ? It definitely needs more elaboration but if the mild headache this elaboration gave me is any indication I'm sure your next elaboration could cause a full blown migrain attack ?
  18. Nissan is the latest car maker to temporarily shut one of its factories as it can't get parts from China. The firm will halt production for two days at a plant in Japan which makes the Serena and X-Trail models. Global car brands are facing similar disruptions as much of China's manufacturing sector remains locked down due to the deadly coronavirus. Hyundai temporarily closed its factories in South Korea last week due to a shortage of Chinese parts. In fact, many of the world's biggest car makers are dealing with dwindling supplies as factories across China remain closed. China is the world's manufacturing powerhouse and a major part of the global supply chain for the automotive industry, making key parts and components. Hubei, where the coronavirus outbreak first started, is a major car manufacturing hub. Last week, Fiat Chrysler said it was considering halting production at one of its European plants due to difficulty in sourcing parts from China. It joins a long list of car brands that rely on Chinese exports. ''It only takes one missing part to stop a line," said Mike Dunne, a consultant to the car industry in Asia. Many factories and car plants were due to reopen on Monday after an extended Chinese New Year break. Some restarted production, but others remained closed due to local authority restrictions and lack of workers. Nissan expects to restart production in China on 17 February. In a statement, Nissan said: "Due to supply shortages of parts from China, Nissan Kyushu in Japan will carry out temporary production adjustments on February 14 and 17." It stressed there was no impact on its other Japanese factories. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-51441344
  19. Why not a GP4 RS? There's a very nice looking first owner 2013 GP4 advertised in the "quick" site with all the records for 3.2 mil, sounds ideal for your requirements. You can save the 300k left for a possible battery replacement.
  20. Now that is a meme worthy of having been tagged for the first time ?
  21. Yeah but you could try the suggestions made by others on that thread... seems like you got the issue somewhat early, that guy had 180k miles (almost 300k kms) when that happened to his transmission If you're going through the rebuild or replacement option these guys have the parts for it (recon) https://facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=469902340344715
