2. there is a facelift released on 2015.
3. should be a genuine one i ve seen few mitsubishi s with a similar scenario. just call Unit#d Mot#rs and get it confirmed.
4. what s the car for some cars the manufacture put the coming year as the YOM, if it is manufactured in the latter half of the year i ve seen few. but better to check.
5. factory service manual of Pajero/Montero V73-78 uploaded link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwSwWIzuykY5cmp6ck5ua1dmVW8/view?usp=sharing
6. i have the user manuals of montero v 73-78 and L200 coldn't find a place in the forum to upload them. any suggestions ......
7. for most of your issues you have to consult someone like SUMANADASA i ve seen many S cars, but none of them are with cruise control, but if you are really interested you can fix a after market one, which is not that expensive it seems - I ve seen many ad s on ikm*n for cruise control
8. 1. not sure about the legal situation, but it s unethical for sure. but I can remember one gentlemen went to courts regarding the same issue against a car seller ( it was in the newspaper) 2. in some vehicles, yes - you might be able to do it when the car is with multiple memory places, provided the fellow has not change them all. eg: freelander 2, but for the models you are behind - I dont think so 3. all the agents do issue inspection certificates, in fact nowadays most of the buyers do that especially when buying hybrids, so I recommend the relevant agent for that matter 4. price - varies, depending on the agent, model etc, so you need to give 2 telephone calls to the 2 agents
9. try ebay eg: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-Lancer-2002-2007-Radio-Stereo-Dash-Kit-SATIN-BLACK-Double-Din-/281594076610?fits=Year%3A2002|Model%3ALancer&hash=item4190509dc2&vxp=mtr
10. dont know at kandana, but there s place at "palam thuna junction" at battaramulla (some people called the place as peugeot sohona - as you can see a bunch of cars are sleeping near the place) - just kidding
11. what s the figure on city ? (just for curiosity)............
12. lot of prados may be because they are at very higher prices - around18 million I guess. only few peoples can go for that price - and they have lot of options to buy other than prado. if you ask from a car sale, some of the prados were imported more than a year back. so the car sellers keep on advertise them. regarding the diesel, you can get down a land cruiser 202 for that price I guiess and for the fellows who go for a higher end vehicle, cost of the fuel not an issue for them.
13. 1. yes, that s true 2. some importers are offering a kind of warranty, you need do your services from the place they appoint to get the warranty. but i m yet to see someone who got a claim from the so called warranty. 3. best way to get that info is from your own friends, since they have better experience...
14. there is a place in panchikawatte, who imports plastic pieces like A/C vents, door lock knobs etc of the old vehicles. unfortunately I have lost his contact details the place is located on to your left side when going from maradana towards amour street once you pass 5-6 shops from samarasinghe windscreen, there will be a small lane on to your left. the place is located in that lane. i know there are many lanes there so may be difficult to find the place. prices are reasonable in my opinion.
15. that may be the retirement permit duty is 45% of the CIF current price - over 4 million
16. not entirely worthless......... nowadays people sell it for around 2 million if I m not mistaken. and the concession is 25% of the total duty
17. there was a time where the financial companies were reluctant to give leasing facilities for duplicate CR and those days you couldn't do one day transfers with duplicate but both issues were settled now and are not issues anymore those are myths spreading by car sellers......... in my opinion we had an alto with a duplicate CR...... the first fellow who came to see it ..... bought it
18. hi if you all can tolerate , a two door alto ( 2002-2004) or a two door mitsubishi minica ( 2002- 2004) might come in to your budget
19. it s going around 16 it seems heard toyota lanka is going to offer Prado for the permit again........ may be because of that car sellers would have started collecting permits same thing happened in late 2012, when montero V98 was offered - I know some fellows have sold their permit for even 22 at that time it s purely a supply and demand thing
20. passo. - if you are thinking about fuel
21. 1.15 million is cheaper. cheapest I found was 1.3 few days ago.
22. Wrong information. From 11.02.2015 again the permits are transferable.
23. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Aravinda_2011" data-cid="273060" data-time="1424862693">
I heard that from 2/10 onward permit vehicles are not transferable for 4 years of manufacture, so its risky to have a permit vehicle if the permit is not own by you. Before 2/10 we were able to pay tax and get the vehicle transferred.
hope this helps to take a decision out.

http://www.treasury.gov.lk/images/depts/tip/docs/circulars/vehicalepermit/TIP-Circular-20150209-2013-01-IV.PDF

24. that s what I told you all yesterday !!!!!!!!!!!!!
25. one of my friend in ministry of finance told me the gov will revert it back to make permits transferable ........... but very soon they will stop issuing permits for government servants, hamuduruwo etc..
