Bj5P Engine Number?

Today i bought a Mazda Familia and i couldn't locate the engine number! Should be on the engine block. It is 2003 - BJ5P model. Can any one help?

Check the lower right hand side of the exhaust manifold engraved on a flat area on the block facing forward or upwards.You might not see it properly if covered with sludge/dirt and oil.So clean the upper layer of the block and check.

The engine number should also be on a plate attached to the bulkhead, unless you are looking for it on the engine itself for comparison purposes.

Miniace is correct. i just wanted to cross check the number. Unfortunately I Can't find engine number in the plate attached to the bulkhead. It shows the chassis number only. I'm new to Mazda.
