Opinions Needed

Ok guys,

I decided the grill on the tribute was annoying the heck out of me. Basically there isn't any mesh protecting the condensor and everything on the road was hitting it. I tried painting and sticking a mesh behind it but without cutting out the grille it did not sit well.

So today I just cut the entire grille out. Still haven't decided what to do with it. I probably should have thought about this before I cut it off because now I really gotta get this done.

So here are my options.

1. Take send the grill out to get chromed and find a decent looking stainless steel mesh and stick it behind the grille.

2. Fabricate a new grill out of stainless steel mesh to take the place of the old one.

Let me know what you guys think would be a better option.

BTW I know my condensor looks bad, but there are no leaks so i'm going to let it be for now. Also The chrome trim on the hood is missing on the pic. Didn't get to pick it up from the chrome platers today.

This would look great with the mazda badge in the center but the only problem is that it would be pretty hard to fabricate for me. Need to get this project done fast too as the tribute is probably going out in the next month.

Now the second one looks really cool, especially if I add the mazda badge to the center. Would hide all the damage to the condenser fins too.

Any idea of what would be a good material to build it up with? I probably would have to get it chrome plated...
