Does anyone know why aren't there any suzuki swifts with manual gears in Sri Lanka, except for its sports version

Cause the people who buy cars like Swifts aren't interested in changing gears manually?

Yeah guys, the India model, which is the beetle model comes with both the options, but the transmission,of the previous swift's (swifts before the beetle model) in Sri lanka,in all which I have seen comes with auto transmission. Was there any specific reason for this....

Most of them were recondition imports and since majority of the swift owners preferred Automatic transmission therefore all of most all the vehicles imported were Automatics. But I've seen some manuals too

well... in traffic, i dont think that it will give more than 10 but in outstation, its very good on fuel.i went to matara with moderate driving and it has done around 16 kmpl.if i tried to drive economically, it will give more than that.but it was a night trip and there wasnt any traffic at all :)

So there ar ,manuals, thanks Blu3Haze,the interior looks like a interior of a Alto....

You're welcome!

Well the interior isn't very fancy yes, but that doesn't depend on the transmission and it's obviously better than an Alto of the same era. Most cars don't have the stock seats as I found out when looking at them, but owners don't know that normally, nor care about it.

And the manual is lighter and wastes less power than the auto, so acceleration is better and so is F/C :)

I got Suzuki Swift 1240cc with CVT one. It is doing AVG fuel consumption 13.5(according to display).before I had Alto M/T.When I drive Colombo area Swift CVT better than M/T.

My swift factory fitted 17"alloy (Speed-R) low profile tires, beat (GT) silencer with adjustable shocks(Tanabe).

Those modifications are effecting to F/C?

As far as i know, having a beat silencer and a set of low profile tyres does effect the fuel consumption of the car, dont know about the adjustable shocks

OT - how do i check that my car has this "adjustable shocks" or not ?? :)

You can see front shocks come with two big nut bottom of the spring.Adjustable Shocks most of them are call "Coil Over Kit"

Your modifications must have improved your fuel consumption cos my same car with stock specs does only 10 km/l in Colombo.

I have verified the AVG readings and they are pretty accurate +/- 5%

Have they removed your Cat when fixing the beat silencer, that would improve power/ fuel consumption
