No!!....not hybrid.....the prices have fallen down for petrol cars "BECAUSE" of the hybrids......such as the price of a 2010 premio has fallen down to 2million in Japan...and the yen also has fallen down

Right- then how do you explain the yen value of a hybrid being more than that of the same model in petrol. Prices have come down due to reductions in tax and the taxing policy

For the last two years the Japanese government has had incentives for hybrids - tax incentives, a scrappage scheme to encourage scrapping an old car for the purchase of a new hybrid, and higher petrol duties (encouraging more people go for fuel efficient hybrids) that have fueled lower prices and record hybrid car sales.

The Prius was the #1 selling car in Japan in 2010 and the best selling model ever.

Good news for us since that means there are and will be more hybrids available on the Japanese second hand market at even lower prices. :D :D :D

true...but this has indirectly affected the price of petrol cars as well......prices have fallen by atleast a million..so all those people who bought a premio or allion wouldnt be happy...especially those people who went for the 2010 model!!! :D

well the best thing is these buggers aint give this up and don't get discourage or have no shame or what so ever.

Prices dropped? Gone up? Yen is down? Up? Japan gives tax concessions? Who the effin cares?

Got more threads of battery not charging or power steering squeeks or restoration help, i do care.

What a noble attempt of marketing junk.

Hold your horses boys, man does have a point. Prices of popular gasoline cars have come down a bit in Japan. And it IS due to the sudden popularity of hybrids in SL. Majority of the importers are now concentrating on bringing in more and more hybrids instead of normal gasoline cars due to reasons we all know. So the demand for gasoline cars at auctions has gone down.

Yeah but still doesnt justify his guerrilla marketing stratergy <_<

So that means SL is like a Junk Yard for japanese scrap ?
