this is a 'bit' OT.. but has anyone see the geish blue Merc class thats going around colombo? it doesnt have a merc badge, and never seen it long enough to look at the badge's details... seen it a couple of times down park road...

and there's this gold car looks like a merc S class.. but had a SangYong badge..

any word on these two cars?

the gold one you are reffering to is called the president i believe. it is a korean made car but it looks just like the s-class. there was a discussion about this car earlier where they said that the company must have got the design rights from MB to produce the car with the korean engine..

This car you're taking about sits on the S-class platform and has a MB engine. Only the body and interior is done by SSangYong. I've seen this particular car many times at D*MO, they maintain it, as it's mostly MB, rather than SSangYong.

I saw 5 of these in Paliyagoda just bought down from China. 33.5mil + VAT Brand new,TV,VCD,Reverse Camera,Full Opt.I think it was a 2400cc engine...I stoped in the spot thinking it was a fleet of Prados. In the front it looks soo much like a Prado, no 2 words about it. A good rebadging will make it a Prado.

The ones which were for sale looks way better than the one in the picture
