Toyota Corolla Altis 2003 - Shock Problem

noelshehan

Question

I have bought a Corolla Altis 2003 (Singapore version). I find it very uncomfortable when it goes through bumps or it goes through a hole on the road. I have checked the shocks and replaced them but still I get a scary noise when it falls on a hole. Does anybody know a sollution for this matter.

The export spec comes with a stiffer suspension setup (even the Brand New import 121) than the JDM versions.

Got a set of coils with the shock and the mount all in one for a 120 and that made the difference. The tension of the coils of the Altis and the B.New Import is higher than JBM coil while its thicker. The Altis shock will also be thicker than the JDM shock.

See if you can borrow a set for comparison and for fit.
