abiman
Hi, Car I'm talking is Toyota sprinter CE110 1997 Auto transmission model. When this happened I was trying to find a tacho wire to install remote starter. I found a wire which gives frequency out put from a connector under meter panel when car engine is running. Accidentally I have short circuited 2 wires on that connector (a little spark happened) with multimeter probe and within 2~3 seconds engine stopped. Now engine wont crank and diesel wait to start light wont come on. However I can hear sound of relay operating which I hear when engine heat up. When this is happening the meter panel was fully disconnected from all the wires. Does this mean ECU fried? What should be done to correct this issue? thanks.
