Hello Everyone,

I have few specific questions regarding Allion and Premio 1.5 cc, 2004/2005 models. Appreciate if you can share your experience with me.

1) Is Premio 1.5 cc underpowered?

2) Does allion offer more mileage over premio, for 1.5 cc engine?

3) What is easier to maintain?

Thanks

this kind of topics have been discussed before so do a search next time

now for your question

1)it is not have the pulling power as 1.8 engine but it is not under power as you thinks

2)afaik both of them have the same engine and very similar weight so the answer is no

3)both of them are toyota's i don't think it is hard to maintain any of them

1) Is Premio 1.5 cc underpowered?

yes obviously for such a big car but if your just using it to drive short distance ( within city limits) i heard the 1.5 is better on fuel than 1.8

2) Does allion offer more mileage over premio, for 1.5 cc engine?

NO,both of them have the 1NZ-FE 1.5, i'm not sure of this i guess those fancy things such as spoiler and bodykit will have an effect on the fuel

3) What is easier to maintain?

both of them will be the same when it comes to maintainence

Difference

Premio

- more like a luxury car

-no bodykits, no spoiler

- usually comes with a better interior ( most of the cars have wooden panels, beige interior, etc)

Allion

- More like a car made for young people

- bodykits, spoilers and different types of lights are available

- its very hard to find an Allion with beige interior and full wooden interior

correct me if im wrong :)

I've used a premio(nze260) 2008 for some time (which lead me to use this profile name  )

It was the 1.5 1NZ-FE engine similar to the new allion old allion and premio, but the new models have CVT

The 1.5 is very underpowered and mine did about 12kmpl normal long distance. which will be the same in the allion.

Frankly Allions and premios r not worth the price u pay for them, u'll be having a much better nissan for that price.

But if u'r only going to decide between the 2 go for a premio 1.8l

Nope mate.. 1.8 does better on fuel than 1.5 :) Also the pulling power is better(which I don't need to say here :D ).

For a fact i presently use a premio NZT260 given as an official vehicle. Mind you if your hoping to run in colombo 1.5 gets you the best fuel figures since you would be spending half of your time on traffic. I have used both and with experience i would recommend a 1.5. 1.8 definitely gives more pulling power but saying that dont underestimate 1.5. If your hoping for daily running and rush through heavy traffic 1.5 would do for you!! And talking about second hand market, irrespective of the weight and the power of the vehicle 1.5 has a better demand than the 1.8.

True that!! I wouldnt go for a nissan but you can get a common rail BMW for that price with much more comfort.

Had a time driving a 1.5 allion from kandy! its lack of power almost killed me several times trying to overtake! but i guess for city travelling its an easy to car to deal with! Jap 1.5 / 1.8 liter engines are a big no no for me.

Definitely the 320d e46 will a better ride comfy more economical and more prestigious and He'll spare some green for a small car too.

By the way he might not look like a mental retarded mudalali in it.

If he is one no one can help :angry-smiley-048:

So let the idiots buy Allions and spare the goodies for ourselves.

Well then he probably have to go for a banged up pre facelift 320d. a fanstastic condition pre facelift diesel can still fetch close to the 4 mill mark! the common rail much higher. Similar with the petrol variants.
