Question

what is better in terms of performance , fuel efficiency , maintainability and second hand value? Toyota Viso or Honda FIT AREA....

im thinking of buying a vios or fit area.. 2003 or 2004 make. i think both cars are same price but honda seems to be little cheaper than vios... so just wondering for which option to go for....

I think on fuel consumption both would be equal. And second hand value is not what it used to be too

whats the average fuel consumption of a Vios? Fit Aria is better on fuel than Vios i suppose. Vios's maintainance would be cheaper. Typically any toyota crap can be sold with a minimum of 10 - 20% margin in Srilanka . and last year we sold out a Fit Aria without any loss after been used for 3 years. 2007 to 2010.

Hmm i wouldn't call toyota crap

The vios has good performance, its a major ricer in thai and many asian countries

so is the Fit.

Vios does good on fuel cannot quote the actual amount,we used one for 4 years

only had to replace An gearbox mount and the shock absorbers the car wasn't attended to much ,did the regular servicing ,thats about it ,its spacey too ,sold it of 100k less than what we

bought it for, drove it over 80K kms in SL

My father is using a Vios and it does about 12/13 City and 15 outstations.

I dont know how you guys get these fuel figures or even calculate the consumption, but we used both and I can tell you for certain both of these cars will never give you 12/13 in Colombo city! They are definitely bloated!

In reality Vios gave around 9 to 10 and the City/Fitaria gave around 8 to 9!

Bottom line - City/fitaria: good performance, fun to drive. Vios: same engine as the 121, easy maintainence, cheaper spares, higher selling price than city/fitaria, better resale than city/fitaria, also interior and plastic feels of better quality than city/aria.
