Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum.

I have N16 Ex Saloon Auto. Millage is 120,000 km. Red color. Now I'm willing to give this and try another one for the same budget.

What are the better options? Appreciate your suggestions.

corolla 110, lancer CS1/CS2 , ek3 ferio or ES 8 if you can stretch your budget a bit. and the mazda bj3/5p etc..these are only a few popular options. but there are a lot more

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Is the market for Mazda bj3/5p good?

Rgds.

mazda has been catching up the market really well recently. you see a lot of mazdas on the road now. but the market is a bit low compared to toyota and honda.

Yep it is. But i think the market for BJ5P is higher than for the BJ3P.

Of-course since we are in Sri Lanka, the market would be a bit low compared to Nissan's and Toyota's. But as for any other Jap vehicle in Sri Lanka, if you keep it in good condition, you'll be able to sell it for a higher price.

For an example about two years ago, the price of a Nissan Sunny FB15 (YOM = 2000) was around 17+ lakhs and now they go above 20+ lakhs and the price of a BJ5P (YOM = 2000) was around 14+ lakhs and now they go above 17+ lakhs.

None of these cars can genuinely be considered an upgrade when compared to an N16. To be honest if these were your choices I will stick with the N16. What is motivating this car switch ? I guess you must have heard the saying sometimes the known devil is better than the unknown saint :)

The Don is right. If you want a better car, I'd say something like a Cefiro or a Euro car. Plus the Cefiros tend to go at real bargain prices. You'll end up saving some cash too.

Thank you all for the suggestions and advices.

I think its better to stick to this till I have some extra money to go for a upgrade.

Thank you again.
