Fit Aria 2008

Honda Hybrid

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I bought a Honda fit aria 2008 unregistered car two weeks ago, and I found ATF and engine oil was too bad and change them all, i used Honda CVT gear oil and for the engine Mobile, but I feel little vibration when moving from 0km to upwards in few seconds it disappears and car is ruining normal afterwards, I haven't use Honda cars before, heard lot of stories about CVT gear system as well so I'm worried about the situation coz I'm out of the country right now and my wife use the car as a daily runner, could anyone of you advise me on this regard please.

Cheers

kas

You ask wife to go to Stafford Motors and clarify if there is any doubt. Mr Lal Ganegoda will help to rectify if there is any thing wrong.

This could be due to the use of 90 octane fuel,

my march did this and it went away after changing to 95oct,

The Fit Aria is a pretty good car and has best value for money in it's class,

But the market drop is due to some problems with the cvt issues,

I recommend u to have a full checkup at the company before u use it because u can't tell what the car was upto in japan as it is recondition.

By the way is it the is it the 7 speed one if so try to shift manually and see if the problem presists.

other than the vibration at accelaration do you notice anything else. Also have you checked the spark plugs? In some cases it could be a slight misfire. Worth having look at. The best thing would be to have the agents to look at it since there aren't too many places capable of diagnosing tranny problems with CVT cars.

OEM plugs are always the best. If it came with iridium use it. If it came with platinum or copper then use those. Make sure you get the right part number.

Also pefore replacing just check them for the usual problem signs.

My brother bought a Honda fit aria 8 months ago and recently had the same issue. The agent (S** M**)also couldn't find the issue and they said there are few cars havin the same issue. Last month the gear box gone. Had to replace the gearbox. Heard that this is a common issue on Honda fit aria.Correct me if Im am wrong. The person who replaced the gear box advice start and wait for few seconds until the engine heats-up and then drive. There is dash board indicator to show you that the car is ready for drive. Im not sure whether this is technically correct or wrong. Anyway my brother follows that :) Good luck!!

I had the same vibration problem with my Fit Aria 2007 model with CVT. I replaced the CVT oil with original "Nippon CVT OIL" and vibration issue has gone. CVT isn't bad until you do the servicing at correct time. Make sure you use the original CVT oil and do not use oil exchanging machine to do that.

Mate i replaced CVT oil with genuine Honda CVT oil, is that different from Nippon CVT oil, or both same? Should I require adding adjetives oil as well?

It probably should be similar if not same since Genuine Honda CVT oil is manufactured by Nippon oil as mentioned in the bottle.

Its secondhand gear box. The total cost was around 110,000/- (Gear box + installation) There is a person at Malabe who is doing only the Honda repairs. He did everything even purchasing the gear box
