Head Light Bulbs In Toyota Marino

I have recently bought a Sprinter Marino. I want to change it's headlamp bulbs because it's color is yellowish and cant see properly at night. it has projector light for low beam.

I want to change them to xenon bulbs. What are the bulb model(s) of it? light cover states 12v/55W only. is it H4?

will use of 100W super bright halogen for low beam will melt the light housing and wires?

please share your ideas.

standard is H4.... if yours has aftermarket headlights then i'm not so sure what they can be.

H4 is a dual filament bulb so it should have two wattages engraved on the holder part with the voltage

I've run 90/100 h4's on my sprinter sometime back on stock headlight with stock wiring and didn't have any issues. do it at your own risk.

by Xenon bulbs do u mean changing to HID ? I think you can change the low beam to HID since it has a projector. Note that how ever using HID s with housings that are not designed for HIDs does not give optimal results.

I changed mine's to 100w H4 bulbs but did a separate wiring + relays + fuses. Although you can use 100w with the existing wiring, there's a big risk.

You'll blow fuses if u r lucky but could melt wires/overheat them by using high power bulbs on the stock wiring,

And my electrician told me that high power bulbs causes a higher current through the headlight switch and reduces its life time mainly due to sparks when changing hi - lo beams. But I think the light switch is only used to trigger a relay which does the actual switching so I'm not 100% sure about that.

One more thing, head lights of my CE110 were actually yellow due to discolorations and I replaced both the lights (~4500 each) and it made a huge difference.
