Hi Guys,

One of my friend is looking for a FB 14 and he found one shown in the pic.

It is in good condition, 1.5, HJ xxxx. But the problem is it is MANUAL.

The price seems around 1.65 M.

Pls advice whether this is worth buying?post-48249-020008700 1310632666_thumb.jp

Did the seller have glossy eyes and suffer from severe itching and ashy skin 'cos judging by the price he's asking he may be on crack. Tell your friend he can buy an N16 Auto for 1-2 lakhs more!

:P :P :P :P :P

Point to ponder : I know of lot of people including few friends whom were initially considering FB 14 went for Peugeot 406 D9 by considering the simillarinitial cost better safety and simillar fuel economy. Personally I believe FB 14 too is overpriced considering it's age and options.

Overpriced.....perhaps for another Rs. 50 K or 100 K ur friend cud buy a FB 15.

I reckon max price is Rs. 1.3 - 1.4 mio

yeah cud find plenty of FB14 english numbers for abt 1.3mil just chk hitad n also a FB15 wud be a better option considering the small price change

i hardly doubt that. an FB15 goes for 1.8-2.2Mil now.

true Schiffer bt wat i meant was if u put a lil bit of effort u can definitely get hold of one, there are plenty of undervalued cars in the market u just have to walk that extra mile to be winner, for example i saw a 121 (2003 model) for 2.5mil 2 weeks back at kegalle

agree... but you have to hurry before car sellers... Specially if the car is in AL or Lahipita... for eg few months back there were ck2 glx (2000, full option, GM-) for 12.75 in the market. but the car is gone within 2 hours by adding the advertisement... the car sold to car seller... :(

if your lucky, i tried my best trying to find a FB15 for 16.5M around a month back, i even tried finance Yards.

but the closest i got was a FB15 Basic one for 1.7M

you can get, but the prob is, it will have some problem. or will be Basic or not in good condition.

and yes, you might be able to find a 1300CC one. but that is just useless

if i recal, i too saw a Green 121 in kegalle, for 2.5M

something doesnt felt right in that

Hey guys,

Thanks to harshan and they guys at AL i sold the FB 14 automatic i was using and got a peugeot 406 1800cc year 2002 manual. honestly it does 13kmpl out station and is awesome to drive. Much more power than the 1300cc nissan. Could reach 100 km/h and you wont even feel it. Seating space is huge compared to a fb 14 and has much beater options. Bought it cheaper than the price i sold the FB 14 for. Parts are slightly higher but euro parts last longer. changed the original timing belt at 116,000 miles and it was still in usable condition.
