Retract Mirror Issue

Dear friends,

I got a Nissan N16. one of the mirrors on it doesn't retract. I just hear the motor spinning. Before I show it to anyone, I'd like to know what could be wrong and what should I do to rectify it. I can open and close the mirror with little resistance. It feels like the cog wheel or whatever that moves it is still inside and hasn't been removed. may be it is broken.

If you give it a little push, does it retract and then continue the whirring sound?

hey try to blow dry sometimes if water goes into the motor it might not work out sometime,noting serious on it

there are some tiny gears in the mechanism and chances are...either some of em have worn teeth or have come off. Sometimes this happens when people physically force the mirrors to retract.

best bet is to show it to somebody rather tank trying to take it apart yourself.

Ruwan at Rexton motors near the firebrigade in darley road does a pretty good job. Loads of people here have got their mirrors and shutter fixed by that dude
