Sti Ecu Tuning

Is it possible to tune the standard ECU and if it is, who are the good tuners capable of tuning the standard sti ecu ? I'm planning to modify the exhaust, intake and to run at a higher boost level. Is it possible to tune the stock ecu to support these mods?

Absolutely possible buddy, but ya need to approach the job with a bit of caution, a botched job can set you back in terms of performance. If ya know someone with an OBD, he can program some of the mods straight onto the circuit board, check the mapping and fuel map. If you want something less permanent, and you have external management ports, you can use a tuning box, remove it to set the car back to original specs.

Thanks for the reply. Would you please give me some more info about the tuning box you told about? is it the piggyback ecu that you meant? And, are all sti ecus programmable in that way?
