Hi! do you guys know how bad a half a centimeter hole on a exhaust muffler could be?

Not rocket science you could easily get that hole welded from a nearby shop

And as for the drop on fuel mileage i highly doubt if a 5mm hole can drastically increase the fuel consumption

well its not loud. the car has a high fuel consumption say 7kmpl. A FN14 1.5 ltr

Well like he says, if it not loud and there is a fuel efficiency drop, then logic dictates that the hole is in the fuel tank and not the muffler.

What the hell kind of stupid response is that ?

The man asks a question regarding his muffler and you tell him to check if his fuel tank has a hole ? :action-smiley-060:

Are you trying to impress people by being a smartass ?

Shintarox, there's no hole in the fuel tank. could the gas escape by means of vapor. what are the possibilities for it to happen if the topup lid for the tank is well intact?

hehe I was only joking mate, its probably a clogged cat convertor. AFAIK thats the only way you can get worse performance from your exhaust, a tiny hole will only make the exhaust louder, but that hole could be a weep hole (The manufacturer puts a small hole in the exhaust to let any water drain).
