There are few Nissan Z,Skyline, Toyota MR2, MRS, Toyota is200, Honda Civic R, VW Golf Gti around might not be very economical but good sports cars with power and handling. Price range will be around 2-3 Mn. (I'm not refering to the latest models)

I have seen couple of BMW 325i E36 which should be pretty good.
