No Air Bags!

i recently bought a TOYOTA 121 LX car but there is a no AIRBAG. made it in 2002.original japan domestic. is all LX has the same thing? help me!thank you.

i think "NO"only some LX 121 models don't have airbags.specially for the 1.3cc ones.how much did u spent on your vehicle?

How do you know it has no airbags ?

Worst case scenario would be that the steering might have been replaced with a non original steering, is this a possibility ?

i hav spent 28 laks for this vehicl..it z n vry good condition. it has evrthng but no air bags. engine is 1.5 cc vvti. so what du you think? is there any possibility for not 2 hav an air bag ?

nop bro....it has the original teak steering. the vehcl z japan domestic. i thnk sm of the LX dsnt hv the air bags. correct me if i am wrng.

Yes, some lx models didn't come with airbags but that should have been something you should have checked before purchasing the car. Oh well nothing to do now, well you can technically retrofit airbags but thats a bit complicated and given the time and money that it would take i would not recommend it..

If the car in question really is jdm then you've ended up with a slightly done up "x-assista" version. afaik jdm models didnt carry xl or gl badges.

anyway the x-assista was the most basic rolla and it came with naked steel rims. airbags were optional in some versions.

go to this website http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html and enter your frame number and it'll tell you which version your vehicle is.
