guys i bought an injector rail (recon) for my car.but the pin colours of the two injector sets are different.previous ones had brownish pins but the new ones had greenish ones.is there any difference?? is there any difference of injectors between v-tec and non v-tec??

You need to match the colors of the injectors machang. The injectors are classified with those colors. AFAIK you cannot mix the colors as theya re mated to the specific ECU and engine setup.

no machan um not talking about the colour in the adapter...this is the colour of the bottom most part of the injector.i know the adapter colour( usually is a plastic component) is something to do with the voltage which has to be given to the injector by the ECU.i matched that colour and the adapter.um talking about the pin.

i'd guess that the brand of the injectors are different. different companies make injectors for the same engine.

probably different flow rates. Check part numbers and do a search to figure out what they are. You don't wanna end up with a wrong flow rate, unless you're going to tune it to the new injectors.

ya mea green it could be cuz the injectors which were there before had a higher flow rate.can this affect my engine??

If the flow rate is different from the one before, either your engine will run too lean or too rich. So either your engine will lack power or waste fuel. Neither is desirable so try to find a set of stock injectors.

probably with a less flow rate the engine might run too lean right?? but i dont see an issue with performance that much.the car goes as it used to be and does fuel about 9kmpl city limits being a civic auto multimatic.but i see a slight knock with rpm lowering down when its in idle.i thought its sth to do with the ac idle up sensor.idk! i really value ur pro opinions.thanx guys.

running too lean will cause scorring of the cylinder walls due to lack of lubrication from the fuel and cause the engine to run hot too. Also lean conditions can cause engine knock and hurt internals in the long run. Running too rich will cause your rings to wash out and reduce compression ... either way, not good. and with both ways, you're gonna either create bad emissions or create a lot of carbon build up in your engine/valves/etc.
