Hi Guys,

2 days before a friend of mine bought a car from Japan and he willing to check is there are any radiation

so can you please tell me your experience also is there are any best place to do the full clean to remove the radiation.

I have never heard of any commercial establishment doing this. But selected Military establishments, airports, ports are equipped with a hand held detector called Gamma- Scout detector. That indicates the radiation level.If you have a friend who got access to this little gadget..get your car checked.

Hint- BIA, Katunayake SLAF base,Navy Xray checkpoint at colombo port got portable units.

Please tell your friend that there's a lot more dangerous sh!t in our country that can kill your friend long before a pinch of Japanese radiation will.

If you are very serious about getting it checked pm me the details I can put you in touch with some one. You will need to bring the car to Biyagama though.... This place has the largest qty of radioactive material available in SL and you will need to appropriately cover your balls...

Some stories around in Oz a few weeks back that a motorcycle imported from Japan had been discovered to have been irradiated. Some reports said it was just an urban myth. Story just died.

Plus goods with dangerous levels of radiation will not have been able to pass through customs in Japan and hopefully Sri Lanka as well.
