I would like to inquire whether it is possible to import classic cars to SL, I am aware of the limit of two years since manufacturing restriction in place but wondering if there is any system where individuals can import classic cars from 1970s-1980s for personal use.

one way you could was on a carnet, and then apply to register it locally, but I gather the rules have been tightened up quite a bit now.....

other way was if you lived overseas and were returning, and could prove that you had owned the car there for xx many years...

As I recall that was the only way, but there may be other views....

why cant our fellows allow some decent classics in tip top condition ply the roads......there are some newer cars worst than them stil on the roads......
