Auto Gear Issue-Starlet

Dear all,

while I am changing gears between P ,D and R there comes a jerk in my starlet. what is the possible reason for this I changed Gear oil also.

Similer type of a issue came in my wife's car some time back. 12-13 old cars tends to give auto box problems if those are not maintained properly. I got the box changed rather than reparing it. Cost me about 25000 Rs and never gave any problems until we sold it after a year or so.
