Motorcycle Engine Polish/cleaner (External)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

With time my motorcycle's engine block is not as shiny and nice as it would be on a brand new bike. So I was thinking of brushing this up. Mine's a air-cooled bike, so it has those fins/gill for cooling, and hence you cant easily reach all areas or give it a thorough cleaning. with a conventional cloth/soap approach. And the non-glossy surface means stains don't come off easy (photo below). Currently I use a bike shampoo I found at a local hardware shop that's quite good for a general wash and at removing chain lube splatter the rims, spocket cover and other areas that you get unwanted oily substances on.

So my questions;

1- What soap (or polish or similar substance) can be used for removing such stains.

2- How do you guys reach inside the cooling gills of the block?
