Vehicle Duty Increased In The Budget

According to a confirmation from a friend who has paid Tax recently for a Diesel Van ( After the budget change) , Commercial Dual purpose vans have a Tax increase by around 4 lacks... ( As informed by Imitiad previously on another thread )

So the biggest impact has been done to Commercial Vans (which are used for School and office transport, transportation of goods and for those used for tourism etc... ) compared to the other catogories( Below 1000CC vehicles which is around 2 lacks and Trucks....)

1. What's a commercial dual purpose van? its got to be a dual purpose vehicle (PX-XXXX series registration) or a light truck (LX-XXXX series) or a minibus (NX-XXXX series registration).

2. This post CAN EASILY go in to the thread of tax increase, which is currently active. Does it need a new thread?

No need of new thread.. Just looking at the last inputs of old thread, looked like it has become bit unrelated

Basically...

GOSL has done their best to help Huge car sale ppl to empty their stocks... Make the pockets BIG

Don't think it has much to do with preserving foreign reserves...

Heard that with new HSCODES Double cabs will be having different HSCODES than the Dual purpose vans.. ( older days they were the same )

Still don't know abt double cab tax.. But can confirm about the Vans...
