Gotta Prob In My Vga

hei guys

i gotta winfast 128MB 6600GT AGP graphic card and my pc config is

Compaq PC - RAM 768MB, processor 1.8GHz(2500+), AMD athlon XP

audigy 4 soundcard

software - Windows XP pro (original)

but when i play NFS most wanted its graphics is very low just standard

when i increas games get slow and goes fram by frame

what u guys think my pc is slow or anything else need help

bcoz i want to finish this game b4 november and get ready for the new game

i mean "CARBON"

pls help

6600 GT is a very gud graphic card n u dont have to worry abt NFS CARBON cust with the latest nvidia drivers and the DirectX 9c June version u can play it easily

and then u have sufficent ram to play the game BT i dnt have any idea abt ur Processor and i think ur Chipset is VIA

SO do these things step by step and see the different

1 Format ur HDD and Reinstall windows again ( XP SP2 is better )

2 install the latest DirectX drivers ( June Version 9C )

3 Install the latest Chipset drivers ( download from the manufacturer site )

4Install the Nvidia 91.31 Drivers and change ur display settings as ( shown in the picture )

5 Install sound drivers and other drivers ( network/modem/etc )

6 install the nfs mw and patch the game to 1.3 and paste the 1.3 crack ( search the net to find 1.3 Patch and crack )

7 Change ur resolution to 1024x768 and press no 2 and go to advance graphic mode

8 change all the graphic settings to highest value in advance graphic mode ( check the image )

trying doing this first..

how much of disck space do u have remaining... if it's over 5GB ,

then,

the best practice would be before even proceeding to formating n risking losing ur data, is to increse the vitual memory paging file in your PC.

it's simple.. right click on My Computer -> properties -> Advance tab -> performence ( once you're hre please follow the attached picture as i have numberd. it's a simple process.

PS: increse the paging file from :- initial size 768 & maximum size to 1536.

am sure any kid can do this easily...

if this thing doesnt work for u , then better formatting....

Thanx very much 4 ur replies.

i was busy with figuring out whta was prob. and yesterday i got a message when i using my comp saying that

"Not enogh power to perform task in VGA, your graphic card is running in low performance mode to avoid any damadge to the card"

i thought bcoz my comp power supply not enough, any way just check the vga card i realised that its need a seperate power from the power supply and i plugged it in.

wow man the graphics i increase all the seeting s in options now its simmilar to the pics that gihanfx uploaded. thanx for you guys help man.
