Having a play when putting the gear either to D or R from neutral

I am using a vitz 2007 model with 107000km mileage.when I'm changing the gear to D or R from neutral,there is a play.it also gives a vibration sensation.what is the reason for this?

mostly these are mound related, get the engine and gearbox mounts checked for broken mounts. Do this while the hood is popped and someone watching (make sure the parking brake is applied and keep the brake pedal pressed). Then you'll see engine tilts from side to side. This is a definite sign of bad mounts. Hope this helps

Thank you🙏actually i checked it while the hood is opened,and as you said the engine was moving while i was changing the gear.thanks a lot for your idea
