certain highly threaded applications get upto a 80% increase in performence. but most current mainstream applications are not heavily threaded or have been optimized for dual core etc, hence, quad core doesnt really bring u as much performence etc. but in the case of heavy multitasking, it really helps.

but most importantly, PC games currently WILL NOT see any increase in performence sad
