In terms of the avalibility of recon cars ready to be shiped you cant go to any statistics company. But you got to go down to the roots, for the sellers, importers who are in the business

he gave up a subaru and an evo for a freaking corolla ?

just this morning a damn corolla bugger wanted to be the king of the road with a huge lump of soft toys in the rear.. that I just wondered how the bugger managed to back up the damn vehicle.. anyways.. he was so happy that he overtook me and was speeding away while I gave him a run where he'll never forget... I let him speed passing me for more than about 15 cars and I cought up with him in just a few seconds where he had this stunned look on his face...

while over taking I just lent on to my left side and gave him a smiling impression of byeeeeeee......... and left him there in seconds where he couldnt even find me...

so this is the mentality of some of the corolla guys huh... oh please... corolla's are damn family vehicles.. so stick to it...

I’ve seen this 110 look a like 1.8 TRD corolla but it’s not a turbo. Has a factory body kit. It was with a renting company before this guy bought it. Looked a normal corolla until I figured the rear discs. Very sweet ride.

Yes.. i do think he sold the rest of his vehicles.. when ya ve got money ya ve got no sense.. lolz.. I dont meet the bugger often since he shifted his place to another location but ocassionally do see him in some fancy vehicles..

lolz.. corollas are fine.. these swift guys really got it going lmao.. every time i pump up my music and a swift stops by me.. they are under the impression that am gonna speed.. heehee.. but i do at times especially when am in a hurry (most of the time)..

@ ash - just for facts.. are there any corolla 1.8s with intercooler turbo in JDM? cuz am very sure this shit outta have it for the simple reason.. this dudes dad a f**kin rich bugger... and also the logo logged very original and unique...

That I'm not sure. But there is a limited edition VIOS and CITY coming in Turbo versions.

nah itz only the VIOS that i know of having turbo! again boasting a moderate 150hp or so ... not bad for a light weight car with an average chassis i guess! but i have never heard of the new city being offered with turbo... (but the very old dingy city had turbo)

@hola: c'mon lad... u r quoting 2000 sales figures i had given the link for 2006 data... itz a fact that toyota had eaten into honda sales since 2000 (eg: camry stealing sales from accord and becoming USA's best selling "car")

bdw i do have the JDM sales figures for different manufacturers but don't have for individual models but i don't think it'll be difficult if u spend a 10 minutes in google!

And what point is there in that list?? It's freaking 6 years old! Got nothing to do with the Sri Lankan Market. And most of the cars on it are hardly/not available in SL!!! Ohh lookeeee here theres even a Daewoo on the list <sigh> nostalgia

is it just me or does it seem like this conversation is going round and round in meaningless circles? I still haven't seen any good enough reasoning to make me believe that either of the two cars are anything but entry level mid-sized sedans. Different people may have different reasons as to why they prefer one or the other, but I don't think any of them are good enough reasons to shift the whole world's ways of thinking!

I read that both New City & VIOS does come in Turbo (and it’s Thai made limited edi’s)
