Excuse me Mods.. that was misleading/incorrect info. one can always say these are the numbers that 'I assume' Pericles said: I have no knowledge on the subject as I am extremely uninterested in the market data of entry level sedans. Actually I am extremely uninterested in market data of all types. I work in a place that makes systems for stock markets. We have an overabundance of market data and I am sick of the sight of it. More than market data from the US where you get almost every brand.... I think whats important to us should be the market data from Japan- being in Sri Lanka- the data would give a reasonable forecast as to what recon cars we can expect to be shipped to SL in the next year or so. Its easy to quote market data from the US cause MSN and so may other sites give out the info. Try finding Japan market data? not very easy. So on the topic- open question to every one- what are the current JDM sales figures of entry level econo cars? Cause I sure dont know lol

Looked a normal corolla until I figured the rear discs. Very sweet ride.

isurujosh
nah itz only the VIOS that i know of having turbo! again boasting a moderate 150hp or so ... not bad for a light weight car with an average chassis i guess! but i have never heard of the new city being offered with turbo... (but the very old dingy city had turbo) @hola: c'mon lad... u r quoting 2000 sales figures i had given the link for 2006 data... itz a fact that toyota had eaten into honda sales since 2000 (eg: camry stealing sales from accord and becoming USA's best selling "car") bdw i do have the JDM sales figures for different manufacturers but don't have for individual models but i don't think it'll be difficult if u spend a 10 minutes in google! And most of the cars on it are hardly/not available in SL!!! Ohh lookeeee here theres even a Daewoo on the list <sigh> nostalgia
dragster
even if the VIOS gets a 150hp.. it's pointless.. I dont think it will handle at all.. the VIOS is shit on the corners.. try it and see for your self... the strut suspention sucks big time.. I still haven't seen any good enough reasoning to make me believe that either of the two cars are anything but entry level mid-sized sedans. Different people may have different reasons as to why they prefer one or the other, but I don't think any of them are good enough reasons to shift the whole world's ways of thinking! As enjoyable as it is, has this thread not gone off on a hugely distant tangent from what the original posting was meant for??
