i just found this on the web after i heard a bunch of guys b$tching about "yet another" DirectX iteration. As far as i can tell, if DX10 can deliver on the goods, it looks like the single most jump in visual quality and API simplicity that MicroSux has delivered in a while. I found the following comparisions and projected advantages for DX10.

not too shabby i would say... but what kinda hardware are we gonna need? Probably aint even out yet. The only DirectX10 cards out are over 500$ and i highly doubt these prileminary cards have enough horsepower to run the coolest (and often the most taxing) things the API can throw out. Oh well, exciting times....
