Zero experience with the HRV but the first-gen  X-Trail would do ~ 6/7KMPL. This is typical of the bigger Nissan engines of that era. Given the age and the state of the engine of the particular unit it might be a bit more thirsty.

As I remember HRV was much better and did as well as the Civic of that era. Hopefully you should be able to manage 8-10 city and 12-14 outstation
