"snow" Button On Toyota's

Of course this is to be used only in snow.. .. But what the hell does it do? Could it probably be used during heavy rain, when the roads r slippery?

I read somewhere online that the ECT SNOW button changes shift points, and starts transmission from 2nd gear for traction, but anyone else have any ideas or read about this?

U presses the button and the snow scoop comes out to collect the snow. j/k

As far as I know it’ll reduce the sensitivity of the throttle pedal and reduce the wheel spin, and the car starts at a higher gear, gear 3 I guess. Heard that u get lot of kmpl on the snow mode.

don't think it'll help in the rain.
