Market Price For Used Montero

Hi all,

Does anyone here know what the market price is for a brand new registered 2003 Montero (3.5litre fully loaded) is??

What should be the price that would be realistic and how is the market after the high volumes of diesel Monteros coming into the market?? Has it shrunk from what it was earlier?

I saw an unreg wine red one for 90. It was diesel. And was curious when i saw a 2800cc Montero beign advertised on a Sunday paper. Can that be?

one my friend sold his one recently for 6 mil. it as a 2003 model i believe...

they usually go aroudn that price depending on options etc. the fact that the diesels have come have not done anythign to the price of the petrol ones.

the recon (gdi engine) are far cheaper...

There are 2800cc Monteros, which are the ones offered for the permits.

2800cc non-turbo isn't it a bit under powered???

but arent those vehicles non transferable and only for use by MP's and PC's ?

if so it shouldnt have an impact on the prices until they hit the open market in a few years time né...

as for the Montero'- i'm guesing it'll be between 5~6.5 Million max depending on the year of manufacture,mileage , condition and owners

2001-2003 New Shape Pre-Face Lift GDI Re-con versions 4.4-5.5 million (Even less if the Engine is messed)

2001-2003 New Shape Pre-Face Lift V6 Bnew versions - 5-6million

2003-2006 New Shape Face Lift V6 Bnew versions - 5.8-7mil

I don't think the prices fell drastically as the PC permit versions are not transferable and the ones that was offered to the public for 9.8mil (Diesel 2800cc Turbo) is now being sold by 3rd parties for over 10mil.

5 million is still half the price of the newer ones.

No. There came unregistered (Recon JDM) sometime back with low taxes in the range of 3.5 million for a reasonably loaded. They didn't take too well to our fuel hence the lower prices (still its a neat profit if you bought one 3 years back)

The Brand New 2006 2.8 diesels came in without permit for 9.8mil (Since the CIF was declared at US$17500..the cost with the high diesel tax was still relatively low). I guess Mitsubishi was clearing old stocks of the 2006 model since the 2007 has just comeout.

If you got it with the permit it woulda been around 3 mil + the permit cost (around 7.5 mil).

the lowest you can get a montero now is around 4.5 mil..that's the gdi version

for 3.5 You'll be lucky to get a hacked Pajero- "Intercooler" from the mid 1990's with anywhere upto 500,000kms on the clock!!
