Ripper
i've been to there showroom a couple of times. the Grande Punto was 3.3 something with all texes...without all of that it's little over one mill... the car is fully loaded compared to a normal jap car... saw 3 beautiful colors...the british racing green, black and ferrari red... mind you fiat own ferrari and the car carries a bit of simillar technology... The seats are very comfy, you sit pretty high and gear shifter also sits higher... triptronic transmission it's one of those cars you actually have to see go and checkout to get the full picture i hope they will bring down other versions and not only the 1.3litre... this is done to avoid higher import taxes they said

Ripper
hey dominic they come fully loaded from factory...don't get a "basic" version as such... panda is priced a tad high IMO although it doesn't look nearly as good as the Punto... Panda was 2.8 something... can check for sure if you want since i do their ads Ripper machan whats the starting price for the Punto ? the 1.4 ltr basic options ? Ripper
Dominic... yeah the punto looks cool. I love the green, red and the black ones... beautiful interior also Hola... they don't assemble anything in asia as far as i know and the panda is not as great as the punto the panda however have a lot special models... like the panda monster, panda 4x4 rally spec, even a panda that goes in water you can check out lots of their models on www.fiatautopress.com
GTAm
2.8 for a panda? Here hope these are not Indian assembled Panda price is negotiable as 2.8 is way way too much. Panda is made in Poland Btw. Fiat has had a plant there for ages. Punto though.....mainly because of the ferrari front. More Maserati ! the car is fully loaded compared to a normal jap car... Too loaded IMHO. If not the price would be more accesible. I mean I could do without cruise control, 16" alloys and top notch stereo which could've been made options. I like the "Blue and Me" though! GTAm
Is Sri Lankan Need all these options ?, why they cant make cheaper version No. But most car buyers in SL are ill-informed and just like to show off their FULL AUCTION option Car to everyone!! Max.Torque 3000 Podilamaya you've missed the most important figure about this engine. The 1.9L Multijet Sporting would be a cracker wouldn't it? 130bhp and 207lb ft !!!!! xXx
Panda price is negotiable as 2.8 is way way too much. Panda is made in Poland Btw. Fiat has had a plant there for ages. More Maserati ! I agree Puto does look more like a Maserati than a Ferrari I personally haven't test driven a Panda but I’ve heard lot fo good reviews about it. When it first came out couple of years ago Fifth gear did a segment, where they put a Panda and Range Rover in an off-road track and the Punto did very well. GTAm
Here’s the link I drove the 1.2 Panda and liked it as well. Build quality did not seem great but it was fun to drive . My only argument is that the price is way to high. I like the Bravo also...don't think it's still available is SL According to the agents, Bravo is coming, 1.4 Turbo with 150 Bhp!
