Went to the Toyota lanka on last saturday.It's seem Toyota Yaris basic car is the cheapest option among the Toyota. It's around 16.75LKR.But when it's come to Full option it's abt 19.95LKR.

Avanza full option is around 17.11LKR.

They have proceed there 1st permit only on last saturday. May get more info near future.

How abt other agents?

I am also going to import a vehicle through this scheme. I've got price for nissan sunny 1300 cc, CIF JY 970,000 to JY 1,192,000. Also, i got a quotation from Ramanayake Auto, too expensive, if you need i can forward it to you.

Machan, what is the difference of Avanza with or without full option.

Ramanayake Auto is this the joint in rathmalana???? I thought only agents are allowed to bring down brand new vehicles

Even though there has been many requests to the government by the permit holders' there has been no change to the orginal conditions so far.

In the circular it is not specified to import vehicles through sole agents. But, i think better to import through the agent specially regards to the gurantee.

The thing is Toyota Lanka is not offering Basic Avanza or there is no such thing, They are only offering the Full option Avanza.

I wonder what happen to the Toyota Axio( The New Corolla)?

How come Ramanayaka Auto is importing brand new cars. I also thought only dealers can bring down Brand new.

Can some one confirm this?

there are two versions of avanza, 1.3E, 1.3 G (check out this site: http://www.avanzaindonesia.com/you_will_th...avanza_inside/). Probably, they may not be exporting two models. Anyhow, 1.3 model does not have neither Front Airbags nor ABS. But 1.5 model does have.

Did you notice these features in the full option verion available in SL.

It's not the Auris they're offering. It's the Corolla Axio. The car is only launched in Japan. Try a google search, you get some links.

They are not transferable. The applicant must use it for 5 years.

Old Lancer GL seems to be a good option. What are the options lacking in this model in comparison to the new model. One thing I now, that the old version doesn't have an engine with variable timing control. Is it a big issue in fuel efficiency!!!!!

I really don't knw that !! But Lancer GL is the cheapest among the Japanese brands for this permit. Really dont have clue abt the fuel efficiency!!
