Renting And Real Estate In Sri Lanka

Hey guys, any real estate experts on the forum? When I was in SL two years ago the real estate sector was doing well and condos were going up every where. I'm wondering how the real estate sector is doing with current economic situation. Also does anyone rent office space in colombo and what are the going rates now? How about the world trade center is anyone renting there? What do they normally charge for office space and do most renters in SL require a deposite?

oi just because you know few doggy sri lankans don't expect everyoen to be like that

a few? I know alot that are like that plus its well documented that SL laws favor the tenant and not landlord. Also land rights are not well in place in Sri Lanka.

it is normal practise to get a minimum of 6 months rent upfront and also some form of deposit for damages

as for the laws, they have changed somewhat to favor the landlord as well
