Hybrid Cars, The Solution For Current Gasoline Price Hike

Dear Friends,

Price of petrol is rising sky height today, and stability can not be expected even tomorrow. Only solution is hybrid cars out of green cars, I think suitable to Sri Lanka, as manufacturing of bio diesel or methanol( people will drink rather putting into tank) not possible at the moment.

New Toyota hybrid can run 60~50 miles /gallon(UK) ~= 20kkm/litre. (See Yahoo green cars)

Why we can request government to let tax compensation for importing it?

Any one who has contact with MR can be proposed it.

another option is cars factory fitted to run LPG or dual fuel (petrol +lpg)

If the govt promote hybrids,how the govt going to survive......govt tax from petrol is Rs 39 from each litre.The biggest income for the draining treasury
