Suzuki SWIFT Vs Chevrolet CRUZE (jeep models). S

Dear friends,

I am going to buy my first vehicle and I have no experience in this field. I am willing to buy a jeep type one since they are with good ground clearance.

Please state your ideas and suggestions in comparing SWIFT vs CHEVROLET CRUZE jeep models from 2003. Also give me a feed back regarding 1998 SUZUKI VITARA.

* Fuel consumption 

*Maintainance cost

* Quality of Engine

*Spare parts availability

Have a Cruze in the family for the last 10 years. The cars are more or less the same. If you want to compare the two models - while engine parts are common, the Swift has slightly better parts availability - specially cosmetic bits and pieces, exterior parts etc. 

Fuel Consumption : Around 8-9 In city driving. 10-12 outstation.

Maintenance Cost : Would be around the same costs for a Japanese car of similar vintage. Uncomplicated simple cars. 

Quality of Engine : What do you mean by quality? It's a durable old-school Japanese car that's quite gritty. Common age related issues will be there. Nothing specific /inherent issues. 

Spare Parts availability : Has not been an issue - even outstations.
