Bro CDL has been building these for a while...the last i heard was that they have tied up with a foreign ship building company to make larger OPV's etc... These will be bluewater capable vessels... Even our small time boatbuilders like Ne*l Marine, Blu* Star have been building larger boats to export markets. I met an american boat buillder who work with B.star to make boats to the US market... Strictly on naval crafts... we recently took delivery of a few RHIB's from the US... these are also capable of 45+knots and are extremely agile...Plus they have a decent radar intercept capability with a stabilized gun system with an IR hook up... Can' understand why our guys can't make vessels of this class since it's better have a large number of smaller and agile craft with good firepower than a few large ones... Hopefully those are also in the drawing board... We have built local UAV's, FAC's etc so let's hope the trend continues OT... i've seen a dvora FAC possible at full throttle quite up close when they made a high speed pass close the boat i was fishing from in the seas off hendala, Man that's a lovely sight Only the rear end of the boat touches the water as it almost fly off the waves leaving a massive wake behind it
